Coach Schrapps Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Kelly prevailed 51-28 in their Home opener to the 2010 season. The Bulldogs came out ready to play and jumped out to a big lead. From that point on they never looked back. Dakota Eddins came out on fire in this game distributing the ball all over the field to various recievers, backs and the tight end. The defense looked stout to the bulldogs as the first team limited East Chambers to 7 points and forced several key turnovers. East Chambers was not able to do much on offense and when they did they were hurt by turnovers. Kelly's offensive line did a nice job protecting Eddins and opening up some running lanes, especially with the loss of Center Mark Figuerias for the season to a knee injury last week. Looking ahead Kelly will have a big test with Bridge City fresh off their win over Vidor. This looks to be a good game with plenty of points put up by both teams. The game will take place next Friday September 10th at 7:30 Pm at Bulldogs Stadium.StatisticsDakota Eddins 13-21 251 Yards 3 TD's Passing, 1 Rushing TDHunter Ewing 3 Carries 70 Yards 1 TouchdownNick Barber7 Rushes 60 yards 2 TD's 2 Catches 34 Yards 1 TDTrent Almond6 Rushes 19 yards 2 Catches 46 Yards 1 TDOshea Kenebrew5 Rushes 19 Yards 2 Catches 20 YardsGramm Klein2 Catches 70 yardsNick Schrapps4 Catches 44 Yards 1 TD, Fumble RecoveryBen Peyton1 Catch 37 Yards, 1 InterceptionAndrew Messina1 Interception around 30 yards on the returnChris ScheurichFumble Forced, Fumble Recovery about 60 yards on the return.Kelly Team Offense 251 Yards Passing 172 Yards Rushing
