skipper Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 well my friends its almost that time.i have read alot of things on this board this week about the silsbee and the wo-s game.first off let me say this to most all of you i have been down this road befor with lots of teams i followed in the years past.we are going over to see 2 mighty fine high school teams get after each other there at silsbee on their homecomming game the tigers will be skyhigh for this game because the tigers know... #1 if they can beat the mustangs they will be in the drivers seat in the district #2 they know wo-s is in the top 10 in the state and love to send a message to other teams in the state telling them( see what we have done and no one has done this but we did). coach bobby mcgallion and his coaching staff have really done a super job with the kids there at silsbee best of luck to your team friday.as 4 wo-s the preasure is on no matter what you say it is they are the ones in the hot seat yes i know all about what the mustangs have and what they can do and what they have done so far this season .but to be up front with all of you i beleave this game in silsbee will be one of the best games played in the state this friday end of story. PS PLEASE DRIVE SAFE AND BE HAPPY sorry 4 the spelling
SHS-84 Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 That is a very true statement skipper, and shows alot of class as well!! It always feels better to walk away from a Friday night football game with the win, but I've been to a few games in the past where winning and losing became secondary at some point, and I was just glad (from a fans point of view) that I was there to be a part of it. ( Last year Silsbee vs Palestine for example). I think this has the makings of that caliber of a ball game, and win or lose I hope both teams go on to represent southeast Texas well into the playoffs.
Stangs92 Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 Great post! I dont agree with it all,but i hope you guys travel safely to and from the game. The safety wishes extends to the team also.
