Merka was inaccurate, Dawson isn't as bad as many people seemed to believe. the cougs havent been able to run the ball which was a staple of our offense last year.

This game is solely on the offense they didn't score, 28 pts should be a win for us, and it wasn't.

Give credit to the very good dawson front 7.

So, we've finally showed up for 4 quarters. The cougs will be fine, its quality opponents and a team whom has work to do and injuries to overcome.

I dont get why our SS consistently gets burned. just a horrible play led to a 3rd down 50 yard td for dawson, just horrible coverage.

Looking back at the scores, I think the defense might want to wake up. Have they been able to stop anyone??

Dawson looked shaky in the game on TV that first week because they were playing a pretty good team.

Dawson has a ton of athletes from which to choose.
Not sure why anyone thought this was going to be a Crosby win, particularly the way they have played thus far this year.

Offense was pathetic and defense was pathetic..Red machine i can't believe your bragging about a defense that just gave up another 400 yard game against it...Were playing against everybodys 2nd team at the start of the 4th quarter...Thats not good offense or defense

Crosby's Defense & Offense aren't as bad as they look. All I was saying Is the Defense could use some help from the Offense. Too call them pathetic is pretty harsh. These are Teenage boys playing there HEARTS out for what, so somebody can call them pathetic.  I will stand behind these kids win/lose or draw. I will tell you this when Crosby is winning everybody wants to stand behind them but when they don't look so good people sure will bailout on them in a  heartbeat. You will see when District games come around things will be different. GO COOGS

Crosby just looks bad.

You don't get dominated three weeks in a row, and have any hope of doing anything special this year.  Take it from someone who watched Humble go 3-7 last year with capable talent.  Sometimes, teams don't come together like they should.

I don't think ANYONE has said ANYTHING bad about any of the kids. Everybody should stand behind these kids. This is an open forum to talk about football. If you don't like that you probably shouldn't post anything. Right now Crosby needs help on offense and defense. How can you say they are not as bad as they look? The TEAM does not look good right now bottom line! Yeah when district starts they will win some games but the teams that are beating them now is what they will see if they make the playoffs. If you are going to post very much on here you better get some thick skin because people call it like they see it.

No luv for a new crosby poster... And they wonder why we don't like this SITE.

1) I agree with red machine crosby's offense is not pathetic in fact in the first half it out gained PNG, PNG then had several big plays that racked up yardage.

2) The defense was better this week, much better. Sure they gave up yards and 28 pts but they played consistent and had a much better second half (including the third quarter) also Dawson didn't put second string in until about 6ms left in the game.

3) If you Notice he said number 33 should run the ball (thats Lefluer) whom i think should run the ball.

4) We have a weakness thats getting exploited one of our safeties is consistently getting beat, same thing happened this game 1 big pass sealed the game, was a great thrown ball, on 3rd and 8 while the QB was getting hit our safety (in cover 2) let a WR get on the outside of him and got burnt, i dare say 90% of schools in the state of texas would have got burnt on that same execution.

5) Im only doing this because you picked on red machine.

6) Pathetic is far to harsh, lackluster/average/inconsistent is a better description. Ex. 10-0 halftime against PNG (mainly offenses fault), down by 7 to Montgomery at half (we actually tied the game then we get blown out. the Defense and Offense have both shown glimpses of real talent and ability but they havent done it consistently yet, part of that is injuries and younger kids playing .


Also id like to point out redmachine never said anything about defense, he just concurred that the offense kinda blew.





FINAL STATEMENT.

This is what i see as a key corner stone for our team to succeed from this point on.

1) Offense needs to consistently run the football and run the clock, to keep the defense fresh.
2) Defense needs to create more turnovers, hard hits strips etc.
3) More non-moving routes, sit down routes etc get the 4-6 yards vs the 8-12 if your passing game isnt working.
4) Unleash Merka he's playing with his hands tied behind his back currently (passing more, running Merka almost never)


We can do these things easily, if the offense runs the ball more then our defense will seem quicker (less tired) and will work better in pressure, allowing to create turnovers, unleashing Merka also helps that.

The unmoving routes i don't expect to happen although i believe its a good idea.

TEL you say no one is talking about the kids then I guess no one is out there in those uniforms or on the offense & defense. I guess people forget what happen last year when we were beat by Ennis 62 - 16 & PNG 37 - 7. Almost exact scores this year except we played Bay City later in the year. I really think this team will turn it around. I'm not saying we will win district but we have the same chance as anybody else in the district.

I am not here to support either one of yall, just talk football. I think that is sweet that yall are so supportive of each other. What the heck does that and your mom giving you advice have to do with Crosby football??? I don't care who any of yall are, the main thing is that we start winning and play better on both sides of the ball. It's ok to give your opinion, doesn't matter if anyone agrees with you or not.
