I finally figured out why some teams will never win!!! The parents!!!!

I WATCH ALL THE FILMS BECAUSE I FILM EVERY GAME.. AND I'M ON THE SIDELINE EVERY GAME AND AT PRATICE EVERY PRATICE!!!! SO I THINK I KNOW FIRST HAND THE DIFFERNT TYPES OF COACHES THERE ARE AND WHAT TYPES WORK WITH DIFFERENT KIDS. I HAVE SEEN WHAT WORKS AND WHAT DOES NOT WORK.. Some schools have some awesome players but refuse to play due to the coaches..

lol... I'm not bashing any coach... just stating that different kids respond to different coaching... example.. yelling, screaming, cursing, some kids respond others don't!!!

Wow, there is no way to win on threads like these.  Every time I see one come up I go  ::).  Look people,  we should not put any coach that high on a horse because there are some terrible ones out there.  Just like in any profession,  you have some that now what they are doing and some that dont have a clue.  If you dont like the coach that much either try and talk to him (and not put it up in a forum) or just dont have your kid play.  On the other side there are some good parents and some terrible ones.  Just watch the news.  Lots of parents I hear in the stands that are complaining dont know what they are complaining about and some do.   Either way there is no way to win in this kind of arguement.

Your correct.........as a parent you must have an open mind and have at least an ounce of communication skills. I hear a lot of parents complain, but when asked what they have done, the answer is usually nothing!

Nothing you can do about that. Some kids are going to quit anyway. That has been going on forever. You can't please everyone. If a kid loves a sport enough, there is no coach that can make them quit.

Players respond to leadership and disapline. Kids that dont play most of the time cant handle that.

Also alot of the parents who do complain are not involved with their kids. What I mean is they don't coach in youth leagues, they don't volunteer their time in the athletic booster club. They pretty much don't do anything but complain. Most of the parents who work in the booster club do not do it to promote their kid. They do it to help out all the kids.

I say if the kids come to practice and bust their humps then they should play.. they are just as much of the team as any other player!!!!

I agree because kids mature differently. But like I said before, if they love the sport they will not quit. I was a late bloomer but I stuck with it and the rest is history.
