Tyrone_Biggums Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 When I played the whole team got 200 yards of rolls per turnover. (Rolls= Full sprint, whistle blows, somersault, full sprint...repeat. Most effective in wet morning grass)

bulldawg64 Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 have the back or qb who fumbles often carrythat ball every where with him, like carrying ababy around,or hold it tight like you would agirlfriend.
cbear4 Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 I read Jimmy Johnson's book, "Turning the Thing Around" years ago and he mentioned that when he had a kid prone to fumbling he never told him " do not fumble" before going out on the field. He would say " hold on to the ball". He was a Psychology major in college and his philosophy was always positive reinforcement. Sometimes when you fumble you worry to much about it was his philosophy I gathered. Anyway just a thought.
bulldawg64 Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 yes football is just a mind game as is it a physical game.
BigWolf10 Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 coach would have the fumble prone player carry the ball all week. and dare another player bring him the ball. If another player brought him the ball the fumbler had hell to pay. So he had to fight his but off to keep that ball all week.

I try not to call out specific players because they are just kids. It wasn't just one player with the dropsies in the dayton game though, coughing up the ball was definitely a team effort.
GoDogs27 Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 Line up about 30 players facing each other, making a lane or alley for the back to run through.. as he runs between the players, every player is trying to beat or strip the ball out.. Cake..
orangecoog Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 Work the stadium steps to the tune of 200x with the football in their hand.
SKINS Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 Taped the ball to the players hand all week long, teachers used to get so mad at that.
eagle65 Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 do not make the head game worse.. make them aware and leave it alone. it will correct itself. believe i heard something similiar from an ole oiler coach.
EX-Ceauxch Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 By letting me chew my mouth piece on the sideline for the rest of the game. Then about 1000 Green Bay's Saturday morning! >:(
