bigred360 Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Don't know much about LC-M but as a alumnus I hope they can pull this one out. Lumberton has a great coaching staff, good players who know how to play the game. The Bears by 7. 8)
NAZERATH Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 All I have to say is LCM better have a great offensive line because the L-Train can flat get to the QB. Silsbee had one of the biggest "O" Lines I've seen in a long time .... I'm not talking fat boys either ..... and they had that QB throwing hail mary's when he wasn't on his back! Defense is going to be the factor!
Huggie Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 I agree with Nazerath, the L-Town defense will be the best LCM has faced and will create turnovers. 35-14 L-Town
utguy09 Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Gonzos is great on his feet so go ahead and pressure him all you want thats just makes room for him to run. ;D
mat Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 LCM defense has been correctly questioned for giving up points, plays and yardage but the defense has also scored a lot of points. This could be the difference.

BrenhamFan Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 I'm pretty sure it will take a little more than coaching... Though that does make it alot easier... I apologize, I misunderstood that and thought there was also a player on the team (maybe he had a son) that had the same name...

When BOJO coach first got the job, CROUCH was in the running then, against numerous Bear fan wishes, the administration thought it was a good idea to go after someone with Jr. High experience instead of someone that had High School experience. To top that after several seasons of loosing at LCM the great minds at LCM decided to re-up BOJO coaches’ contract. SO with you being a Brenham Fan, I’m sure you think a lot of Coach WEST, same as what we think about CROUCH here at LCM. Again, making the comment in JEST, Crouch is worth 28 points alone. Oh, last thing 12 points, GOOD FOR BRENHAM…just shows they have a good defensive team again this years. YaYa.. ::)

You're right, we think alot of coach West and as expected, i'm sure LCM has the same trust and respect for coach Crouch....(as you stated) Our defense is good, and from the points LCM's offense has put up this year, it looks like y'all are equally as impressive. Good luck this year, in what is going to be an interesting district race. Who knows, we could meet up in the D2 playoffs.

BORAM Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 I just wonder how most of you can even attempt to guess who will win this game. Most of it is pretty humorous to me....you can't compare to the teams of the past or who they have played so far because most teams improve after each game. Just be there if you want to find out for yourself who is gonna win this one.
AggiesAreWe Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 I picked Lumberton in this matchup based solely off of how my Silsbee Tigers performed against these two teams. In the "game type" scrimmage against LCM, Silsbee marched up and down the field on the Bears, scoring on every 1st team possesion, 3 TD's to be exact in only about 2 quarters of play. LCM only manages a safety against Silsbee coming from a bad snap from the center.Lumberton beat my Tigers last week, 21-14, but was up at one time 21-0. Silsbee played much better in the 2nd half but Lumberton was the better team.Lumberton beats LCM.

That was the laziest preformance I have ever seen from a Bears varsity team, albeit it was a scrimmage. They will come to play against Lumberton. Defense will be much more ready to play than in the first half of Caney Creek (250 first half yards allowed, 80 second half). It will probably be one of the best played games in Bear Stadium this millenium by both teams
Raider42 Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 I can't wait for this one. Everyone on this forum crowned LCM as the next super team in the district before they actually did anything. I expect the L-Train to take care of business. The defense will be better than any the Bears have seen so far....pass rush and secondary will slow down that passing game! Hurry Hurry Hurry....Friday can't get here fast enough.
