Positive. Brook's first year, Jerry Ball, etc...Tied 7-7, tied on penetrations, lost on first downs.

Bishop Byrne 3 times, won in 1955, lost in 1959 and lost in 1977.  I was on the 1977 team that lost to Gary Kubiak.  Byrne closed in 1983.

[/quote]Yep.....I have that game on VHS somewhere. I believe Ball blocked a FG attempt that would have put Sterling ahead 10-7.

Yep. The weird part is that if we would have let them score on the returned blocked FG (we tackled him inside the 10) it would not have counted as a penetration and RSS would have advanced.
Went and watched the Bruins beat LD Bell and knew it could have been us.

Bridge City went twice that I know of. 1965 lost but I don't remember to who. 1966 won against Mckenny 30-6. I think this is the two years they went. I moved to BC in the late 70's and don't know if they had ever been earlier than the mid 60's.
