He'll be fine. His shoulder's probably a little sore this morning, but other than that he'll be fine. I kinda think he would have come back in the second half of the Katy game, until Katy scored 10 more points on us to start the third. After that it was kinda like...."whats the point, let Stump take some snaps."

Point I'm trying to make is...one player shouldnt make or break a TEAM......about 19 OTHER starters return from a team that went 3 rounds deep, there should be no "If Reyes play we win" type comments. The fact that the offense DOES rely on one kid is disturbing for West Brook.....Great Coaching will beat Talent 9 times out of 10....and right now WB seems to be focusing on Talent.....you can out talent the Ozen's, Centrals and Eisenhowers of the world, but not the top tier teams...

[/quote]Actually, it's usually Ozen and Central that have more talent than WB.  Coaching is superior @ Brook.  But for some reason, Brook coaches take the  'Mr. Coach Kline' from waterboy approach when it comes to playing your Katy's, Cinco Ranch's, Westfield's, ect...

[/quote]Lil Stump has capable talent, so im not worried if he has to go into the game. This game was just to big for him at his experience level. Believe me the experience he recieved playing 3 quarters against Katy will pay off before this season is over. The next team he face he will say I have seen better than this. No problem.

Good point, WBbear. But I agree with the other poster in that, WB is in big trouble if so much is riding on Reyes' ability to play. I didn't realize how much he elevated our offense until he wasn't in there.

considerably well against Brooks first team defense.....Offense was still the same when he got in....pretty sure the offense would be the same if he had to start the next game....pretty sure the offense would be the same if #22 couldnt start the next game......one player won't make or break Katy.

DId you notice when Katy was warming up? They had 4 QB's that were running drills and passing to each other. They also have two complete offenses that were taking turns running mock plays. It was quite impressive. See what numbers and depth can do for you? I like it!!!

Offense should make the player, Player shouldnt make the offense.....until that changes, West Brook wont get over the hump. PAM and North Shore wont call off the dogs 2nd possesion of the 2nd half like Katy did.....game was OVER when the second QB, Second line and 3rd RB got in the game...kudos to West Brook for keeping THEM out of the endzone. Losing a starting QB IS a big deal when he is the ONLY offense you have...remember the RB from Katy missed all of the regular season last year with a broken leg, the QB got his FIRST START as a sophomore in the state semifinals......some coaches take a player and build an offense around that single player...everyonce in awhile you get a Vince Young and it works.....other coaches build a SYSTEM and then build around the system.....if you drive a racecar and have a flat, you change the tire and you still have a racing car..that's Katy.....if you have a racecar and blow then engine, and replace it with a regular engine.....its not a racecar  anymore...that was West Brook yesterday.....it was a ford pinto with racing stripes and fat tires.....looked like a racecar....but no motor.


And sorry 82, back to the topic..
I say the Bruins bounce back but the Raiders play them close.....35-24 WB.

Yes I'm a Forest Park hater to the nth degree.  I'm on my long weekend.  Just watched a real 5A team in Euless Trinity.  Unlike WFPB, they go 2 deep on each side of the ball.....
