Thanks to each one of you. I thank you for taking the time to read the blog. DCTF tracks the readership of the blog so I think it's safe to say that the more readers, the better the coverage for our area on the DCTF website.
As for Reggie Garrett; again let me express my deepest condolences. I pray for the family, friends and all who were touched by this tragic event. I wish the Mustangs all the best as they take the field for the remainder of the season. God bless!

I wanted to address something if I could. I appreciate very much the kind words but I want to clarify something. I did get one response (outside of the forum) that hinted to the possibility of someone misinterpreting something I wrote. In the last line of the article I wrote that I would return to full coverage "once the shock of this week wears off". This individual felt that I should not have written that line because it implied that within a week Reggie Garrett would be forgotten and we could go on with our lives. If anyone took that from what I wrote, I apologize. That is in no way what I meant. Although it's normal for people to move on, there is no doubt that this event has had a lasting impact on many and will never be forgotten by most of us. I in no way meant to trivialize the situation so, if anyone took that line the wrong way, I am truly sorry and I hope you will accept my sincere apology. God bless!

Wow, LR1969!  You did an awesome job with the article and though I don't think you need to apologize, it is very commendable of you to do so in case someone else DID misinterpret it.  Kudos to you.  God bless you back!!!

Guest wildcat58
excellent article, it vividly describes how all of us in the entire southeast texas football community feel as a result of this tragic event. I agree that no apology is needed for the closing line. Anybody reading the article can obviously conclude the writer does not attempt to diminish the scope of the tragedy. Keep up the insightful writing kevin, we appreciate your coverage of our area.

    • In a video released Monday, Raja Cholan, a top official at the U.S. National Library of Medicine under the NIH, admitted to an undercover OMG operative he doubts jab efficacy and hasn’t “gotten the latest COVID shots and I’m not going to.”  “I PROBABLY SHOULDN’T BE SAYING THIS OUT LOUD;” Chief Confesses COVID Health Initiatives Were "COMPLETELY MADE UP”. "I don’t even know if these vaccines stop you from getting COVID. They don’t.” Adds, "We're all going to learn [about vaccine safety] when it's too late," as Pfizer & Moderna "are just getting a bunch of money… Vaccines were accelerated through the approval.” ‘We fly under the radar of being scrutinized…I don't think I have too much to worry about.’ Trump victory “worse for the NIH.” “It would be better for a Democrat to be in office.” WOW!!!!
    • The same reason you worry about Trump more than anything else. Why do trolls like yourself start threads like your Soros hedge fund thread and you never come back to…..just bait. Newsom might make a run for president in 2028. People need to know about his policies. You don’t think that’s important?
    • I like Newton’s chances here. I’ve watched  videos of Daingerfield what few I could get. Their big Qb scares me a little he looks Ike a good athlete. I think for a change Newton has a little more speed than the Tigers. That Samuel kid for Newton can move., and it goes without saying about Porter. That Hunter kid ain’t bad either. They scared me to death with their pass defense against Edgewood until I saw the video. That Qb for Edgewood can put it on a dime. And, his receivers could catch it. I’m pumped; this is the most fun time of the year for me. Go Eagles.🦅 I have to add this though. I watched the State game between the tigers and Yoe in 2010. Those guys looked like grown men playing as opposed to kids now a days who look like boys.😂 that was a heck of a good game.
