YouCanUseaMint Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 SFA is good, but they aren't unbeatable. Texas State showed this last year when they toppled the jacks 28-7 in San Marcos. This Bobcat will be cheering on the Cards for sure.
bigred360 Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 We are a young team as for as playing together and SFA is ranked 6th in the country so I'll say the Jacks win. However, if Lamar can win the turnover battle. Contain their offense, bend but don't break. Their offense is too good to shut down completely and we have only 3 games together as a defensive group. So, holding them to FG's instead of TD's is crucial. Then we have to take what the defense gives on offense. We have to be patient moving the ball and come away with points anytime we are in the redzone. If Lamar is able to do ALL of the above I think we'll have a chance to win.35-31 SFA.
ForeverADog Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 Moses is a big hurdle. But I think we can force a couple turnovers. Still not sure it will be enough. 38 to 28 SFA. Hope I'm wrong.

Jakk11 Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 I'm going to go with the underdog in this one. Lamar by 7.

The 'Jacks don't do so well in -10 below temps, 40mph winds, and having 6 or 7 turnovers. Whats your point? I just listed two losses, what do you want?

I already said it - SFA isn't unbeatable. And that isn't a good excuse for not scoring... Texas State lost at Montana in 2008, but the score wasn't THAT lopsided (31-13 UM). Can't wait to play SFA this year, though.. I think SLC play will come down to SFA and TXST.
