skipper Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 PLEASE DONT LET HIM GO BEFOR YOU TELL HIM HOW MUCH YOU (LOVE HIM). GOD BLESS ALL OUR KIDS
PNGFan Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 There is not a day goes by without me telling my kids I love them.
justafan1 Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 I couldn't agree more. My wife and I were talking about all of this and she couldn't have the conversation because she could not stop thinking about our son.
SgtRey Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 The hardest thing to do for a parent is let your kids go and play a varsity football game, especially a QB, especially a big game...unfortunately, he's the target everyone wants to hit...any chance an opposing team gets....after all the years in the game, as a player and a coach, saying goodbye to my son the morning of a game as the parent, eats me up inside..........but he's fun to watch...lol!
raideroldtimer Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 My daughter will be 30 this year, we never ever hang up the phone without telling each other I love you, even if we just talked 5 minutes ago.
Cheermom4 Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 Anytime one of my children or my husband for that matter leave the house or we get off the phone with each other, I ALWAYS say I love you and tell them to be safe. Our family has lost to many people to soon.

Jacket Mom Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 Our children are blessings straight from God. Good reminder Skipper. I tell both my boys I love them every day. ( And sometimes they even tell me first :) ) May all your kids be safe this season. God bless Reggie's family. God will use #12 to add others to His kingdom.

FOOTBALLFEVER99 Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 This is a good thread, because its stops and makes you think about whats really important in life. My son too, was quarterback in high school, and everytime he got back up after a play me and his mom were thankful. We never really talked that much about it, but we knew every game he came back home healthy was a blessing. Seen him lift up his shirt battered and bruised many times, but if you've seen the documentray on ESPN2, "Boys of Fall" most of you understand why they do it, and why we did it when we were in school..Tell you something else I learned too, I "never" criticize a high school QB, or any of the players for that matter, because I'll guarantee you, their giving it all they got for about $6.00 a ticket..Just go have fun guys...Good luck to WOS the rest of the year, and God bless all you guys..Us old guys may get on here and give each other a hard time , but we love all you guys that play the game..Stay safe and enjoy those Friday nights!
Guest ECBucFan Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 I agree with and certainly practice all the verbalization of telling them I love them. With that in mind, also remember, kids spell "love" T-I-M-E. :)

surfer73 Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 I tell them everyday, I make it a point, Not just to tell them but to show them, We all focus on Friday or the weekend, But by doing that we make time go by too fast.
