NEXT UP - Arp receives a bye; Hawkins vs. West Sabine, 8 p.m. Tuesday at Nacogdoches High School. --- District 21-2A Playoff Malakoff 60, Frankston 52 ATHENS - The Tigers opened up the fourth quarter on a 17-0 run to defeat Frankston in a district playoff to decide the league's top seed. Donavan Jones scored 16 points and Bradley Pickens added 14 to lead Malakoff, which will receive a bye in the first round of the playoffs. The Tigers (24-5) will face either East Chambers or Trinity. Frankston (28-3) will meet Centerville in the bi-district round of the playoffs at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Fairfield. Tanner Welch scored 12 points to lead the Indians.
