Who's going to step up for the Lions come Basketball season???

What should we expect from the Lions this season, since they only have one starter from last year back. That Zay Mcdaniel and i know he's not enough, so who else do the Lions have???

I cant answer you question specifically but with the good coaching and basketball pedigree these kids have they are sure to be solid once again.

Kountze's system will help them be successful year in and year out.McDaniel and the blonde headed kid that shoots the 3 will be their go to guys.I see them in a dogfight with Anahuac for the district title(which they win) but I don't think they have the big bodies to go deep this year.

That is what Kountze thought last year also........ ;D ;D ;D

Kountze has been a power house and there is no denying that.................but owning basketball is a bit much.  Ozen, HJ and Silsbee have all either won state championships and or been to the state tourney several times in the same 15 year time period.

I will agree that they have owned 2A basketball in this area for 15 years!!!!

Not in the last 15 years though.

State titles in '70, '04, '05, '07

State tourney appearances in '75, '77, '97, '00, '02.

::)I wonder if the HJ staff has contacted the refs for that game so they can once again "fix" the results.  I am still amazed that they were able to do that in the Kountze gym last year.
