skipper Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 when kirbyville team and fans see him as he steps out onto the field saturday night you will be in shock. then you will say this is going to be easy picking and maybe even giggle under your breath, but that will end in a hurry.this kid has the tools to become a good one just give HIM TIME
Gasilla Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 Good stuff there. I like the fact that they emphasize that he IS NOT Reggie Garrett. Salter has his own qualities and he will be a good one.

Believe me with Jack Alvarez as Coach,Kirbyville will give as much respect back as they recieve..That you can rely on...No one I have talked to that knows football is saying nothing but good things about WO-S..Course the young'uns are spouting off a little but you got to ignore them..lol...I know I do,because Iv'e heard the "wind blow before"... Good Luck to WO-S and I hope no injuries...

skipper Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 one pass to roberts 40 yarder and over shot him.then the running game took over
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 he doesnt seem nervous at all.

skipper Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 he might be around 5ft10 are 5ft 11 not over 6ft
TopDawG52 Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 I'm sure this kid can play. Wos wouldn't put him at the position if he couldn't and i knowthis kid will have the heart too go out there and play well as he is looked over Reggie....
Lefty99 Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010
he might be around 5ft10 are 5ft 11 not over 6ft
He looks small than 5'10". But hey Kville had a pretty good QB a few yrs back that could play in A. Hazlewood...he was 5'8".
AggiesAreWe Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 I was told that by one of the coaches that Salter is '5"8, 150lbs.He is not Reggie ('6"3, 190lbs) but that's why his name is Salter. He will do fine, I'm sure the coaches will adapt to bring his qualities out along with utilizing other players.I really believe that WOS will beat Kirbyville, not just in my heart, but in my head.
kcat-fan Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 Good luck to him...It is a lot of pressure on the kid starting out with Kville along with it being televised....but it's like Hooks said they need to get him ready for district.....he'll be fine.

Gasilla Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 He is 5'8" and very quick. He throws the ball pretty good. He completed a few passes in the Jasper game. One for about 30 yds to Roberts, but no ones heart was in that game after the 2nd quarter. He will do well after a week of all the snaps and the offense taylored to his strengths.
w Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 He also got into the scrimmage with Dayton and in my opinion, did well!!!
jr1979 Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 I would like to say good luck to ya, Lil Jimmy for the rest of the year. This kid will do fine. I would also like to add that he was on Varsity as a freshman, as the backup QB.
Kville_Kats Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 Kirbyville had a small qb a couple or three years back...Aaron Hazelwood,He could take a football and show you more tricks than a monkey on a twenty foot grapevine..I think he was around 5'8...Had a brother that was qb before Him..Both were small but good and quick...and could throw pretty well too..
