bruno994
I had the privilege to attend Coach Barbays' funeral service today in Kirbyville and once again it was so great to see the outpouring of support from our entire community and the representation of so many area schools in attendance. Bishop Guillory from the Beaumont Catholic Diocese attended and spoke as well. All the flowers were decorated with the school colors from which they were sent, just another reminder of the support behind this family. After 2 hours of visitation and another hour and a half during the funeral, you'd think that all the touching moments had come to an end, but then as you pass through the town of Kirbyville, there were countless people standing next to the road expressing their sorrows and showing respect for Coach and his family in this time of loss. And then you pass by the high school, and lined up next to the highway, the entire Kirbyville Wildcat football team! Wow. Just another unbelievable gesture of respect for a true Texas coaching legend. Rest in peace Coach Barbay, you will be missed. Prayers to the entire Barbay family. newton_eagles
Pretty impressive what the players from the surrounding schools have done for us the past couple of days. Would like to say thanks! Our town is so appreciative of the character and support everyone has showed us.
