the_dude_abides Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 Did a 4 yard loss just get marked as a two yard gain for first down? Sounds like Oran made it to the game.

PURPLE 4EVER Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 This will be on my site tomorrow morning when I update it...I was 5 and 3 this week..TOUPS GRAPHICS 19-4A GAME OF THE WEEKDayton vs Galena Park 7:00 PM Galena Park ISD StadiumTOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTIONDayton 45 Galena Park 21THE RESULTDayton 53 Galena Park 23"The Yellow Jackets are the highest ranked 19-4A team in the Houston area. They still haven't played a team with a winning record. Can the 1 and 3 Broncos take out the Yellow Jackets? Look for the Bronco defensive line to be the key for this game. The Dayton defense slows down the GP offense enough in the first half to take a ten point lead into halftime. In the third quarter the Yellow Jackets commit to many turnovers and lose control of the game. The Bronco offense rolls in route to a 40 plus point explosion."The above quotation is my preview. VERY ACCURATE! Almost Yoda like.
Guest HornetsBroncosFan Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 Way to go Dayton Broncos
Broncofan65 Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 You are right Toups. Broncos played solid tonight except the turnovers. Our Secondary and defense will win a lot of games for us this year just as they contributed quite a bit tonight. Galena Park has some speed and 2 really good recievers and could be compared to Brenhams recievers. I think GP will finish second in district over Crosby. I think Fowler has hands like glue and Mcbride is also catching and holding on to the ball much better. I think the other teams seem to underestimate Mcbride because of his size. It seems like they loose him in their seconday and he burned GP for 2 or 3 big plays tonight. The Broncos are playing like a complete team now and the offense is looking like last year more and more. Jakari seemed like he was imposing his will on them at times while running the ball. Great Job Broncos. Going to be a great week in Broncoland......
Hornet 012 Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 things looking good for the broncos just gotta stop the fumbles
friogal Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 Way to go Broncos!Hate to sound like a broken record here but, they have got to hold onto the ball- what is up with that?!?! Going to be very difficult to win post-season games if they don't fix this QUICK. Tuck that ball and hold onto it!
Hawkeye Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 Nice win Broncos. Good job by the Dayton secondary. Both of the GP offensive TD's came after turnovers by the Broncos on our end of the field. So the defense did a great job once again. I honestly don't think the fumbling problem (4/3 again last night) can be fixed. At least not like flipping a switch anyway. From this fans perspective, it seems like it's just simple fundamentals of not wrapping up the ball with two hands before the tackle. If the skill guys haven't learned that yet, it may be too late to change bad habits. The first couple of games I thought it may be a fluke, but it's obvious now that it's a real problem. I know for a fact the coaches are doing everything they can.Congratulations to Galena Park on a well played game. Tremedous improvement over previous years teams. Keep it up and GP will be a force in 19-A.

jayhawk Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 More and more impressed with the Bronco's every week what a fun game to watch and GP is the real deal for sure ! Fumbles not worried about the fumbles your going to have a few fumbles every now and then its inevitable when your playing all out were not playing flag football out there things happen .Bladwin is a high flying risk taker and most of the time it pays off sometimes it doesn't plain and simple I'll give him a fumble every now and then for the dividends he pays out. Same with Delisbor he looses focus sometimes ,but he's getting better look what he brings to the table. Really not overly concerned with the fumbles at this point in the season when your team can put up 50 big ones against a team like GP its a very good sign of things to come. We got a lot of time to work out the kinks for the post season. How important is our kicking game what a advantage for our defense getting to start the series with the other team always having to play with their backs against the wall. This team is exceptionally well balanced and hasn't reached its potential yet if I were a Reg.3 playoff team I would be very concerned with getting matched up against the Bronco's.
jayhawk Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 Comments Recommend Defense gives Broncs a nudge to wake upYellow Jackets unable to hold on to early leadsBy CARL THEISS Copyright 2010 Houston ChronicleOct. 2, 2010, 3:41AMShare Del.icio.usDiggTwitterYahoo! BuzzFacebookStumbleUponEmail Close [X]For the second consecutive week, the Dayton Broncos got off to slow start. It took just one quarter to wake up Friday night, as the Broncos scored 22 second-quarter points on to rally for a 52-23 win over previously undefeated Galena Park in 19-4A action at Galena Park ISD Stadium. The Broncos, now 2-3 and 2-0 in district play, spotted the Yellow Jackets leads of 7-0 and 16-14,in the first half before the defense took over the game. Coach Jerry Stewart knew his team would have to play well to beat the Yellow Jackets.“We knew we had to win the turnover battle and force (Andrew) Vargas to get rid of the ball,†Stewart said. “Last week we forced eight turnovers and tonight we were able to get five interceptions. †Vargas, who came in the contest with 1,076 passing yards passing, was effective early. He took the Jackets on a quick four-play, 50-yard drive that ended on a 13 pass to Lamont Green. Green, ended the game with 131 yards on seven catches. Then the Broncos took over. Running back Xavier Baldwin, evened the score at 7-7, on a 30 yard dash on a fourth down and two play. Then after an interception by Quincy Williams, quarterback Andres Herrera found Gamal Fowler on a post pattern from 20 yards and first of three TD passes. Fowlerended the night with 95 yards on six catches. Jakari Delasbour, who finished with four touchdowns and near 400 all-purpose yards, gave the Broncos the lead for good at 22-16, after he took a short flat pass 64 yards to score just before the half . At a short intermission break, Delasbour showed his blazing speed as he returned the second half kickoff 91 yards. Dayton added four more interceptions, that preceeded scoring drives. Constant pressure on Vargas, resulted in picks by Jamaud St. Andre, Aaron Ripkowski, Baldwin and C.J. Burks.
