Neither team is bad , our district is tougher than usual this year. Nederland beat PNG who had a chance to beat Gregory Portland , a team that will do well in the playoffs. PNG played them a better game than Corpus Christi Calallen did the following week. I'm telling ya'll our district is good this year.

District is wide open, but to say the district is real good is a stretch. You throw Kirbyville, Bridge City and WOS in 20 4A this year they all could advance.

After watching Kirbyville last night I would have to say they would be District 20 4A champs. They looked better than anybody I have seen this year in 20 4A.

dude, this is hardly the same Nederland team that suited out against BH...I counted no less than 6 starters on the sidelines in shorts for the BH game, most of which were playing against PNG

Well said PNG1, well said...... every town is divided when their team isn't winning games like they want them to.  I witnessed the posts myself from Nederland fans.... I will say, I was embarassed and hurt by it because I have a lot of PRIDE for my DOGS, and I am at EVERY game, winning or losing.  I think that is what a fan should do, unfortunately, some people are only fans if their team is winning.  PNG fans need to stick with their team and support them, they are a good team and they will see their way through.  I wish the Inidans the best of luck for the rest of the season.  A post like yours reflects class towards your fellow team and fans.  PNG needs more fans like yourself.

I think our district is down in all sports.  If you count the number of playoff wins in all boys sports ten years ago in the 1999-2000 school year and then do the same for 2009-2010 you would see a large drop off.  Our area is simply not doing as well as it has in the past in any of the major boys sports.
