There is no reason they can't make the WS, but they need to win 1 more game first.
bullets13 Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 they have matched up really well against the yankees so far this season, who it looks like they'll play (assuming they get one more win against the rays), but they'd still have to go into yankee stadium and win playoff games, which is no easy task.

Ty Cobb Posted October 8, 2010 Author Report Posted October 8, 2010 Right now, the RANGERS are playing well enough to beat anyone in the major's. I hope they can continue playing at this level. Looking for the sweep on saturday.
westend1 Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 Tampa really has very little offensive firepower. After watching them, it is surprising that they were able to win the East. Their pitching must be awesome.

They are only behind the yankees (859) and the red sox. (818) *The RANGERS are 4th with 787 runs scored. tampa bay's pitching ranks 2nd in the American League with a team ERA of 3.78. They trail only oakland, who has a team ERA of 3.56. *The RANGERS rank 3rd in the American League with a 3.93. In the first two games of the series the RANGERS offense have scored 11 runs to tampa's 1. The RANGERS are just flat out, out hitting and out pitching the rays. Now of course, this could all change but right now there is no doubt that the RANGERS are a better ball club than tampa bay.

They have a team batting average in the .240's.

PhatMack19 Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 Rangers looking for the sweep lead 1-0 in the 4th
bullets13 Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 Lewis gets out of a jam with a big strikeout, Rangers lead 1-0 after 5.
bullets13 Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 BJ Upton just drove in a run with a double, 1-1, 6th inning. Rays have runners on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs.
bullets13 Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 a great diving catch keeps the rangers from re-taking the lead. 1-1 going to the top of the 7th. the only good thing about last inning was that the rangers finally got Garza's pitch count up a little. he's been tough.
