rollinac Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Best thing about these is they don't mean squat except who the "voters" think are the best teams. But a playoff system would never work in college right?
Rebel Yeller Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 I know this will be seen differently by people, but a poll that places teams from the two divisions into one seems to be difficult to get a grip on especially as we move into the district portion of the season. The AP lists 23 teams on the 1A poll but only 8 of those are D2 teams and will be completely uneffected by what happens in district play or the playoffs for D1 schools. So if anyone is interested here is how the split AP poll would lookD1 Region D2 RegionCanadian 1 Springlake-Earth 1Albany 1 Falls City 4Ganado 1 Evadale 4Alto 3 Burton 4Kerens 2 Archer City 2Stamford 1 Plains 1Goldthwaite 4 Windthorst 2Mart 2 Munday 2Mason 4Clarendon 1So let the debate begin and who knows, maybe a team not even on the radar of this poll come on to win their division or someone from the list takes home the hardware. We will know in mid December!
AggiesAreWe Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Looks like Region III is the weakest region.Maybe Evadale wishes they were back in that region. ;)
EastTexasBall Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Alto got beat by Kerens because QB didnt play. Alto will win state.
fwstangs Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Thanks for Bolding FW, the next 4 weeks are our season, 6-0 means nada if we do not get at least 2 more wins. Tough sledding ahead, next up LaMarque - who is back!! Wright is a beast!! This will be offense vs offense - last team with the ball wins, imho!
