Sorry BH, but there's no realistic comparison.

District 21 4-A has three teams, Smiley, Forest Brook, and C.E. King from the former lineup and Huffman and New Caney added this year that are very weak teams. That's five weak teams. I mean New Caney even beat C.E. King this past Friday 40-37 on a 90-yard K/O return with 28 seconds left. There are no "weak teams" in 22-4A, not like this anyway.

In order Barbers Hill, Crosby, and Galena Park, rule that district and will go to the playoffs, IMO. GP will go the "big school" route leaving BH to face our second place "small school" team and Crosby to face, most likely Dayton. This week, BH will destroy Huffman, then host C.E. King before traveling to Galena Park. I think they will win those last two quite handily and win the district outright. This biggest measuring stick for the strength of the two districts is the lone fact that 21-4A is all but decided, yet there is much to be determined in 22-4A and a total re-shuffle is not impossible. At this time, no team can be counted completely out. By this Friday, a more realistic picture will form, but it's not done yet.

In two weeks we'll KNOW if Nederland is a contender or pretender. Central and Dayton are contenders, but Nederland's posture in the mix will have to be known since they have the numbers to be the district's "large school" representative.

Dayton would appear to have Crosby the leading candidate for first round playoff possibilities, should things continue like most posters on this board have projected.

Anyway, that's how I see it. Based on quantity of quality teams, 22-4A would have a distinct advantage. A sweep of playoff games or getting a split of 2 wins against 1 loss is the only way to disprove this statement, and I just don't see that happening in the first round of the playoffs.

For what it's worth, that's how I see it.

HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THIS BRILLIANT IDEA?

THERE ARE THREE TEAMS TIED FOR SECOND AT 3-1 IN THIS DISTRICT

Good post Mike, 22-4A definitely is more competitive, but I wouldn't say they are better than our top three. There is a lot of inconsistent play in district 22 except for Dayton. The rest of the teams are hard to measure on just how good they are. Examples PNG getting blown out by LCM, Vidor beating what I though would be a good Nederland team and Central getting killed by Houston Sterling. According to which team shows up in the playoffs could be the story for 22 4A. 21-4a has been consistent! Yes we do have some bad teams ,but those that are at the top are not going to be push overs BH, GP, CE King, Crosby or New Caney. If I was a betting man I will say Dayton takes its first game in the playoffs & BH takes theirs leaving one match up (GP vs. Central????) Which should be a good game. I will say this and that is 22-4A has a better chance at the sweep than 21, but all in all we should see some good games.
