Kountzer Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 A lot of those middle of the pack houston teams are not that strong. There are not a lot of good teams in Smiley's district. The teams that get the recognition are the big suburban schools like The woodlands, Kingwood, Westfield, etc. The Northern suburbs. The more inner city schools sort of go into the playoffs with a ho hum mind set. At least that is how it appears to me. So, a one high school team, like Silsbee, or Kountze, where there is a lot of team pride and spirit, may catch a city team napping, especially in a warm up game. DB
