LtXPantherZ Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 As far as the statistics go I would say Ford from K-ville but out of the running backs that I have seen play I would say Darrin "Bucket" Edwards from Liberty. He leads 22-3A in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. He doesn't have very much break-away spead but he is really quick in and out of his cuts and has great ball carrier vision. He runs hard and is always going forward, and on top of the that he is amazingly strong for his size and breaks more tackles then you would except from a running back who is roughly 5"4 maybe shorter and doesn't weigh much.

LtXPantherZ Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 Yeah i wasn't considering them a SETX team either and I'm talking about last season too Ford rushed for 2000+ yards but idk about the Wright guy.

kville Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 I think it seems easy to look at stats and think the guy with the bigest numbers must be the best. IMO it is not that easy. For example I am not saying Fred Ford is the best but he is a contender. He has been pulled out for games he could have doubled his yards and scores in. Weather it was to keep him healthy for later in the season or to keep from running the score up in the name of good sportsmanship he still could have over 1500 yard if they had not pulled him in those games. And he is not the only one by far either. I guess it comes down to who makes they yards and the points when their team needs it to win. If the guy fits the need for his team and has 700 yards he could still be the best. No good way to compare apples and oranges. We ve got Ford in Kville and he is a part of what keeps us winning no mater what the stats say.
#1stangfan Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 In my limited perspective, I would consider Fred Ford the best. However, if Britton Lindsey carried the ball more than 10 times per game, he might be in the conversation.
