WOW....WB has 3 or 4 runners...(Chris Reyes my son runs), that place in the top 10 every meet.... ???
I've seen them at some meets this year and was wondering if that was your son... WB is solid, but look at these times compared to WB's

WB's top 7 times and places over 5k from last weekend on a fast course
1     16:36 Johnson Gabe Westbrook
3     17:13 Norman Tye Westbrook
6     17:40 Reyes Chris Westbrook
11   18:15 Ramirez Jesus Westbrook
16   18:39 Shivers Jordan Westbrook
23   19:06 McNeil Decorian Westbrook
25   19:25 Martinez Miguel Westbrook

Kingwood's top 6 times and places over 5k from 2 weekends ago on a fast course
10   Justin Brinkley          Humble Kingwood           15:53.20
29   Travis Beck             Humble Kingwood           16:13.90
30   Todd Bennett          Humble Kingwood           16:14.50
35   Tyler Brady             Humble Kingwood           16:16.50
36   Logan Terry            Humble Kingwood           16:16.70
60   Ben Parva               Humble Kingwood           16:55.40

look how close their top 5 guys are to each other... 23 seconds and they're in!!!

Kingwood is ranked #4 and the other teams really aren't far behind.

The WB coach is doing a great job and the runners are too. The size of the meets make a big difference with the places. They have come a long way, but there's a long way to go before being in the top 10 statewide. It's amazing how good those top ten schools are.... Most of them could field a B team that would beat most the schools in this area.

Take a look at this link and look at what some of the marks that some of those top programs put up.

Yes who is Huffman-Hargrave?

Also, Bridge City girls should be ranked but they aren't.  Barbers Hill girls are good this year too.  I am not too familiar with 4A this year, but I would have to guess they are close to cracking the Top 10.

Agreed... they've got their top 5 from 12:10 or so to 12:50... I'd think they're pretty close to being ranked.

Also, WB is going to Strake Jesuit this saturday... That will give them a pretty good look at the mountain top that is elite Texas CC.

What grade is Gabe in??
Gabe is a junior, along with most of the team...
well, I can see we definitely have our work cut out....I'm going to show Cris these times and hopefully by next year he can cut his time down....I know in Kountze, I believe he ran a 16:50...I believe that was his personal best...I know the moon has to line up just right for your body to perform at that elite status.

He can do his part by committing to the mileage over this next year. Those top programs 48-50 weeks a year.
