H-D BOBCAT 55 Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 This heated rivalry goes back over 40 years. You can bet every kid will give his all in this game. This game is for bragging rights !! H-D leads the overall series of head to head games won by a mile. H-D is looking for their 4th straight victory over WH. The Oilers are a very improved team with a new Coaching staff. This will be a good one to watch. H-D 28WH 6
eaba26 Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 Should be very close. Last years game may have been the best game I have ever been to. This year Im taking HD 22-13.
H-D BOBCAT 55 Posted October 18, 2010 Author Report Posted October 18, 2010 Can't wait to see Gilmore and Burns hit !!!!!!!!!!!
ruffdaddy281 Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 This will be a good game. The Oilers need it.WH 28H-D 22
the wise one Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 these two teams are very evenly matched in talent, but both teams have showed that they can show up and stink it up with turnovers and mental errors. But every game up to this point doesnt matter when it comes to this small town rivalry this being said i hope both teams play the best that they can and it should be a close game like last year and i will predict that this year will also go into overtime just with the Oilers winning it at the end instead of HD since the game is at WH this year. good luck to both teams and i believe that this one is for the 3rd playoff spot
HI_Cardinal Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 Pretty evenly matched teams, I say west hardin if they show up and play, But it could go either wayWest Hardin- 14HD- 13
H-D BOBCAT 55 Posted October 19, 2010 Author Report Posted October 19, 2010 If H-D plays their A game it will be a blowout. But if H-D comes out flat on the road it will be a close game. H-D has 4-5 kids with break away speed.
knows2much Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 It depends on who has the least amount of turnovers. I'm not sure West Hardin can stop HD from scoring, but HD could throw the ball on the ground a few times. It should be interesting. I will say that in a turnover free game HD wins by a few scores or more.HD 28WH 15
H-D BOBCAT 55 Posted October 20, 2010 Author Report Posted October 20, 2010 Courothers and Burns are pretty good players for the Oilers. They say Courothers is fast and Burns is a bull. Gilmore, Marberry, Drake and Morrow lead H-D's team. Very explosive H-D team. H-D's backup RB Austin Edmonson is a very explosive Freshman, he may be the best athlete on both rosters.
BIGMO44 Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 I didn't see much speed or power running from West Hardin when they visited Evadale. They may have had an off night but they were contained all night by the Rebel defense. If HD plays hard-nosed defense, the Cats should win by a couple TD's.Good luck to both and hope one of these teams makes the playoffs. I'm still partial to the "old" district.
Guest Abraham Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 H-D will win by 2 or more td's, and i've got to warn you bobcats west hardin is a very dirty team!
WHoilers10 Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 West hardin isnt a dirty team..they just hate it when other teams mouth and tlk crap and they react with their pads and sum teams dont like gettin physical and gettin hit hard...we play to the whistle... So dont say we play dirty when we dont but we culd if we wanted to...
TTB Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 Im gonna say H-D by 2 or 3 tds!! Good Luck to both teams
football Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 How many personal fouls have been called against them. Not the only measure of a dirty team, but it could give you an idea.
the wise one Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 Curathers and burns are good but the qb #8 is the best athlete WH has by far and he will be the key for the oilers to win tonight. And HD 55 I would put ashton up against anyone in the athlete category in the district
The_Hatch Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 Being realistic, I'm gonna say HD by 2-3 scores. Not always, but at times, both HD and WH have been known to get a little dirty and scrappy now and then, and when they play one another it doesn't clean up any. I wouldn't consider either "dirty teams" though. Hoping the Oilers can pull this one out and if they bring their "A" game, they have a good chance. Since they are pretty closely matched, either team makes too many mistakes or has too many turnovers, it could be lopsided either way. Hope its a great, injury free contest, and I wish the best to both Teams. This is probably the battle for third place in the district.Go Oilers!!
H-D BOBCAT 55 Posted October 22, 2010 Author Report Posted October 22, 2010 H-D is ready for some football !!!!!!! This game tonight is H-D and WH's State Championship !!!!!!!! Bobcat Tradition and Pride will come through tonight !!!!!!! RIVALRY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
