BADSANTA Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 AAW has this ever been done? Would love to have some input on this. Got to have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd team.
AggiesAreWe Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 When you say "all time", how far back in history are you talking about? Also, are you talking strictly what players did as high school players, or are you including college and pro careers?
Mike George Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 I would think strictly based on high school play. If they did their thing in college or pros then that would be an all-collegiate team or an all-pro team.An example might be Kenneth Hall of Sugarland. As far has how far back to go, might be better to create all-20-year teams, like 1990-2009, 1970-1989, etc. I'm sure there'd be enough candidates to fill three teams from each era and then you wouldn't be comparing someone from the 1950's to someone from 2000+. Just my two cents.
briang Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 from the SFA grad of 96, I vote d-lineman Chis Reed!.We made it to #2 or #3 in state in 94/95.He was huge, ran a 4.4 or 4.5 if I remember correctly
sfa87 Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 How bout Kenny Ford and John Evans n also Brian Mczeal
BADSANTA Posted October 16, 2010 Author Report Posted October 16, 2010 I'm thinking a body of work can be used but I prefer high school teams. Let's go back to the 50's. I'm only 30 but my dad still tells me about how he played at Hebert and how half the team was scared of Bubba Smith.
BADSANTA Posted October 16, 2010 Author Report Posted October 16, 2010 How about Dexter Hebert and Jay Mcguire!

the wise one Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 im suprised no one has thrown out Earl Thomas. The kid left school early and is still only 21 yers old and was one of the best safety's in college football last year.
SFAJACK02 Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Burt Murchison from Woodville. Started at Lamar and would of went first round in league but got hurt. In Lamar Ring on honor.
