Time to expand the stadium ...

The soccer stadium that is.  The soccer team played Texas State to a 1-1 tie in front of a record crowd of 562.  I'm not much of a soccer fan but it's good to see them playing good this year and drawing good crowds.

FYI - if tourney started today, Lamar would have the sixth and final spot... good thing for Lamar is they have now played FOUR of the teams ahead of them, so they should be able to solidify their spot - already played SFA, SHSU, TXST and SLU...

Just to clarify for those who haven't been to the new soccer complex at Lamar - the complex is plenty big enough.  They just need to add another set of bleachers for more seating.  Just wanting to point out that what's needed isn't some expensive expansion project.

Soccer has looked great. Had the drummline out last night to keep it entertaining. They already have the most ever points in conference at 7. Have the most talent ever for a Lamar team. Come check out Hance Maudsley Gibbs and company!

Yep, the TCU connection with Coach Tidwell and Coach Hardman has worked out great for Lamar. I know some love him and a lot hate him but former TCU basketball coach and Lamar AD Billy Tubbs made a couple of great hires with these two.
