Guest Cap Rock Brewing Co. Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 This is non-football related but since this forum is where the action is....I know most people on here like to talk smack about Crosby, but on a very serious note. Hats off to Crosby last night for the moment of silence and adding the Medal of Honor flag for the late David McNerney. McNerney has been a Crosby resident for most of his adult life and he's been an active and valuable member of the community. Hundreds of people lined Runneburg and Hwy 90 to wave American flags for the funeral procession of 1SG David McNerney, a Medal of Honor recipient for his courage, bravery, loyalty and determination in Vietnam. His funeral was today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crosby, and he was buried in Houston National Cemetery. There are only about 85 living Medal of Honor winners. Makes me proud to be an American, proud to be a Texan, and proud to be a resident of Crosby.
