Guest jhamilton Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 Well hope now that the series is in the motherland that the Yanks can hit the bloody ball. Cliff is going to be tough but so is Andy P hopefully. I think this is going to go six or seven but we shall see.
bullets13 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 Hamilton with a 2-run homer in the 1st!!!! The Rangers haven't figured out the yanks bullpen yet, but they've absolutely rocked the starters!!!
Guest jhamilton Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 Best player in baseball just showed why. Gonna be a short series at this rate.
westend1 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 He just flicked his wrists at that thing!
bullets13 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 Young had a great at bat the hitter before hamilton, fighting back from 0-2 to single after an 11 pitch at-bat. the hr hamilton hit looked like he hit it off the end of the bat... he has some serious strength! 25 pitches for petitte in the 1st!
westend1 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 Tough call for a third strike against Molina, but that's ok if they are going to give that pitch to Lee.
westend1 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 It all evens out. Texiera was out on that curve ball.
bullets13 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 lee with 7 k's, 1 bb, 0 hits through 4. he's a beast!
Guest jhamilton Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 AP is pitching pretty good to. Bullets the kid they gave up for Lee Smoke any good? You know any other of the players they gave up?
westend1 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 Smoak is a highly thought of prospect. They had Moreland behind him, so he was expendable, but I know they wanted to keep him.
bullets13 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 smoak has the potential to be very good. i thought it was funny that he came into arlington at the end of the year after the trade and homered in all 3 games of the series against his old team :)
bullets13 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 ah "oh s***" swing by jorge bloops a ball the opposite way for the first yankee hit of the night.

bullets13 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 this ump has a wider strikezone away from lefties.
Guest jhamilton Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 Like Gardner bc he plays hard.
bullets13 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 big strikeout for lee with runner on 2nd and no outs... and another big out... let's see if he can strand gardner on 3rd.
bullets13 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 great job to get out of it. only scary thing is his pitch count is at 97. i don't think the rangers are going to be able to ride him for a full 9 tonight, and the bullpen has been shaky. very shaky.
Guest jhamilton Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 These guys today make such a big deal about pitch count. Heard today that Bob Gibson use to throw anywhere from 185 to 200 pitchers a game. He said todays pitchers "are out of shape" and need to go longer. Love Gibby bc hit a homer off of him and next time up chin music.
bullets13 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 i'd feel a lot better about this game if that ball hamilton hit a few innings back had cleared the fence...
Betrayed Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 9 outs away. Can the Rangers do it!? I think not. Lee is lookn shaky, pitch count is up there. Rangers bull pen will probaly blow it.

[/quote]if i'm washington, i ride his arm as long as i can. 120 pitches, 130 pitches as long as he's still getting outs... this is a must win, and he probably won't be a ranger next year anyway, so who cares if you wear his arm down.

U ride Lee till the wheel falls off.
bullets13 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 Lee's a beast. 11 k's, 2 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk through 7.32 k's, 13 hits, 2 runs, 1 walk in 23 innings this post season.
