BrenhamFan Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 Trust me, Montgomery is exactly where they should be. They are very good. I picked them to win the region in D1 and after playing them, I remember why.

dayton Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 I'd like to see #1 and #2 play... won't happen..... but IMO that's the #1 defense vs. the #1 offense in the houston area.

We were up on Montgomery by 13 with 2 secs left. The last play of the game, Dobbins was wrapped up for about a 10 yard loss and somehow escaped down the sideline for a 59 yard TD as time expired. Then they went for 2 to make the score look a little better. They hung the first half but our D completely shut them down in the 2ndAt halftime we were only up 6. (we blocked their first PAT, so they kept going for 2 and we kept stopping them.)

(since we both play them) Friendswood beat them by 10, and we play them 11/4, so we'll how that goes.
HUM398 Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 Humble wouldn't be able to see Montgomery until the later rounds. We beat huntsville therefore win the #1 DI seed. We get stratford.
liltex Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 Brenham fan you said completely shut dwn. Mont.in the 2nd half. You mean to tell me the Bears put up 327 yds.in 2 qtrs ::) :o ;D

(except the 59 yd TD they scored with 2 secs left) They had 339 total, when we were only giving up 107 per game. I would say the best offense in region 3 belongs to them or Friendswood. I'm not the only one that thinks that.... Check the Brenham vs Montgomery thread, 2 or 3 Montgomery fans said the same thing. ;)
