In 8A action, if Gentry were to upset Dayton it would be a three way tie for first as Dayton, Cedar Bayou and Gentry would have all beaten each other.

gentry would have to win by 21. I think thats the max on points you can get.

the 8th A Ponies have about 4 kids that have break away speed.
The defense is impressive, very quick to the ball.

Dayton has some players for sure, but I did notice that 56, 60, 1, 10, 6 and maybe another were playing both ways.  Is winning more important at that level or getting every kid some playing time?

Most teams I have seen have players that play both ways, I figure that is pretty standard at all the jr highs?

The games are only eight minute quarters.  They are amazingly scoring that many points with a running clock, that means they are scoring within about 4 plays each time they get the ball, many times they are scoring running the ball between the tackles.  The players are just a lot quicker than there opponents and they score at will.
The A team only has about 25 players, and most if not all of them play each game, the rest are on the B team.

I've never seen a junior high that doesn't play its players both ways.  This isn't high school.
Think about it.  It's only one grade level.  High school has 10th, 11th and 12th all on the same varsity team.  Even then they still play guys both ways a lot of times.
If a 4A high school had to play only seniors, then probably every single player would play both ways.
