AggiesAreWe Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 KFDM reports in their newscast to night that a letter was sent to the UIL and to all the schools in 20-4A that LCM could have a player ineligible. The player in question had played for WOS last year and transfered to LCM this year. A question to his residence status has the possibility of the player being ruled ineligible. If the UIL does rule that the player is indeed ineligible, LCM will have to forfeit all it's games that this player played in.Stay tuned for further info on this story.UPDATE: there is NO indication of any reason the player should be ruled ineligible. LC-M has made contact with both the UIL & disitrict chair and are in process of showing all documentation.

Guest Newbie Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 If this is true, that is too bad for the team. Coaches know the rules and the whole team suffers?
outanup Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 Very sad for the team.... guess its also possible (if true) they could win out and still qualify for postseason play? Maybe?

kville Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 The sad thing is that the coaches know the rules and decide to risk getting caught knowing what it will coat the entire team if they do. No player no matter how good is worth destroying all of these young men's hard work and efforts. May be it will turn out to be untrue. Best of luck to all of the LCM team hope it turns out ok for you. Your whole team has shown a lot of class and sportsmanship this season.
AggiesAreWe Posted October 20, 2010 Author Report Posted October 20, 2010 I personally hope that all is well and the player in question is eligible. Just would be a bad way for the Bear's season to turn after making great strides this year.

We don't know if the player is indeed ineligible, that is being investigated. If he is, let's not automatically assume the level of knowledge that anyone on the coaching staff had.

skipper Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 why did you bring hooks name into this >:(
hitman009 Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 heard through the grapevine that they are not guilty... kid lives in LCM district but is staying with aunt while parents are out of town... should be cleared up by tom
CatFan81 Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 Sounds like sour grapes to me. Must be someone LCM beat.
w Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 I believe that is a moot point. LCM has opened their enrollment to anyone from any district. Doesn't matter where you live, if you want to go to LCM you can. And if a kid played at WOS last year, the proper documents were signed by all coaches involved. I hate that someone is starting something like this.

BRONX ROX Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 Sad for the other kids on the team that put in hard work and did everything right. Just dont seem fair but rules are rules.
