OK, ive been wanting to stay out of this, but what the heck. I was sitting three seats from WOS92 and saw the whole incident. Of what i saw, the Policeman was WAY out of line. It seemed that his personal agenda was to embarass the person. I didnt see the beginning, but I saw the second time the cop grabbed him. Yes it was twice. The man(WOS92, no personal names here) was explaining to us how he was being harrassed by a cop and then all of a sudden while he is telling us this, the cop walks back over to him and grabbes him and threatens to arrest him if he doesnt come with him now. The cop said he read his(WOS92) lips while he was talking to us and said something deroggatory about the him, (the cop).(All he said was a..hole, which is disrespectful, but said it way under his breath to us, his friends) not loud at all. There was also a cop at the opposite side of the field with binoculars staring at all of us (20 something people in that section) and radioing to the cop that was sneaking around by us. And yes, he was sneaking. If it was me that this happend to, I would file a formal complaint. Now, like I said, I do not know what took place before the second time the cop was up there, but I do know that alot of people saw this all pan out and have the same reaction I do. It made us feel very unwelcomed in that stadium. Seemed to me like they had an agenda to try to embarass a WOS fan. Just my opinion. Before BC folks start atacking me, I am not correlating this with BC or its fans, just something wasnt right about the situation. Put yourself in our shoes and imagine if you were at our field and you had WOPD spying on your fans, but not doing anything on the home side? Wouldnt that seem fishy to you?

i didnt mean to put BC down in my post if thats what it seems like. I was just giving my side of the story of what I saw. I in no means am trying to implicate BC fans at all. They obviously had nothing to do with this and probably had no clue about it. Just want to clear that up.

I didn't see where 92 did anything wrong. He was loud, as always, but was not offensive. He was upset, like everyone on the WOS side about the third defensive holding call, but what fans don't get worked up over the refs at times? Didn't know this was an offense that could get you kicked out. He was talking to me when he was telling the story about what happened the first time and he said the cop was a stupid a$$ for doing that because he was cheering and I have to agree with him. The cop read his lips and told him to come with him or be arrested and I know this as fact because I was standing right there. I mean, if someone thinks you are a "SA" is that a crime? It was total BS and I almost said that same thing to the Officer at the time, but I didn't want to be removed, too. Anyway, I still can't believe it happened. I've been to countless games over there and we have never been treated like that. There maybe some things going on in the BCPD that aren't good. I was sitting by an officer at the game (not BCPD) and he was telling me about some of it after this happened.

Aside from the Officer in the stands, there were also 3 or 4 Officers standing in front of our stands the whole game along with the Officer across the way with binoculars. It reminded me of the movie "The Longest Yard" and we were the inmates. During halftime I went to the concession stand and there was one of the Officers in between the stands and the concession stand just glaring at everyone going back and forth, then another right next to the concession stand line... I saw 0 Officers in front of the BC side... there may have been some, but they were not in front of their stands like they were ours. Last thing, and this may or may not be related, but when I left the game. There was an unmarked BCPD car on the EAST side of Cow Bayou (Orange side) pulling people over. He had 2 pulled over as I passed him. I haven't said much about it because I am not one for whinning, but this was really BS.

the reason why all the cops were on the west orange stark side was becouse the chife of police got a call from someone saying that all the mustangs  were going to bring guns and bombs to the game LMAO

I hope this is one of your joke posts, skipper and no one really called the chief of police to say that.  We have WOPD at all of our home games but I've never seen any of them with binoculars looking into the stands.  I've also never seen any of them arrest someone for being upset with the refs.  If that were possible, I'd have been hauled off several times, along with a whole bunch of other people.  We've gotten more than our share of bad calls this year, it seems.  That being said, it was disturbing, to say the least, to see one of our fans being escorted out of the stadium.  I saw it but had no clue what was going on.  What a weird, weird year this has been.

I have seen this twice.
At a playoff game I was waiting in a long line at the bathroom. A Kville fan lit a cigarette which he should not have done but a cop jumped on him and put him on the ground and cuffed him like he tried to kill someone. The guy claimed that he did not even relalize that he lit it that he just did it out of habit. But they drug him out of there just the same. Why not just have him put it out, give him a ticket or ask him to leave?

A few years ago (may be 6) Kville fans got the same reception in Silsbee. Four cops lined up on the track looking up in the stands and one across the field with bioculars scanning the crowd. Did not give you a warm welcome feeling. First time there was a call the fans did not like it got real tense. No explanation for the high security.

Sorry call BS if you want. Did not just pick a stadium at random. Only game I have ever been to there.  Nothing against Silsbee team, coaches, or fans they had nothing to do with it. No arrests or anything just left many people wondering what was up.

BC if this is true I see why you don't know how to act when u finally have a winning team! Wow! What a shame!

BC had nothing to do with this... it was ONE person.

i apologize for this individuals actions if everything is true and there was no wrong doing other than indirectly calling him an A hole...

This reminds me of the movie "The Express" about Ernie Davis, the first African American Heisman winner, who played for Syracuse.  His coach would not let him score a touchdown in the first half against West Virginia because there might be "trouble" after the game from the Mountaineer fans.  (This was '59-'60).

I guess the BC police department needs to investigate the actions of it's officers, and the reason that there was a large visible police presence on the WOS side, and not on the BC side.  As of right now, intimidation of the WOS fans seems to be the main reason that the police were there.  If no reason from the BC police department is forthcoming, then people will start drawing their own conclusions about the intentions of the BC police, and by extension, justified or not, the whole police department.

Oh please tell me someone has contacted Mel Gibson about this thread, Conspiracy Theory 2 has to be somewhere in here!! Black silent helicopters hovering over the WOS stands, military spotters on the light towers, and was that an intel truck in the parking lot loaded with more surveillance gear than the last spy movie!! All we need is the droid army that is stored under the football field to make an appearance and all order will be restored! The sub-plots on these pages are comical! Thanks for making my day go by, I can't wait for the next development. I'm not sure if this is real or some hyped up paranoia ;) ;). Either way it makes for great reading ::).

It's not a "conspiracy" when it is there in plain site. I see you are trying to make light of the situation, but a fan WAS removed for cheering and there WERE multiple officers on the WOS side where there were not on the BC... Glad you enjoyed the read ::) ::) ::)

Ok guys don't judge the whole city of Bridge City on the actions of one or two of BC cops. Please kill this thread. It is getting old. I do understand what everyone is saying but good grief enough is enough. The game is over and in the history book. Nobody has said this in so many words but plain and simple some of you think this is a race thing. Let it go because I promise you it is never about race between the kids who actually fight the battle on the field. Grownups can learn from kids just not when it comes to money. ;D ;D
