22-3A All District Picks??

Right now a few schools are interested, but he is keeping his options open. He has received a few solid offers, but I don't think it's what he wants. Texas Lutheran has offered has guaranteed him playing time as a freshman in the fall, but they are d3. Northeastern (LA), Lamar, Tarelton State are also very interested. The A&M receiver coach asked for his highlight film the other day, but that is a long shot I'm sure...

Cross your fingers for him! I'm hoping for the best and I just want him to be happy wherever he ends up!

Just as I posted that, he called me and said he had a voicemail from the Henderson State coach...we will see how this goes.

I will let you know when makes a for sure decision of course!

No more speculation needed now, they should be out and about pretty soon right? Congrats to all the team for representing 22-3a and especially Coldspring for their trip to State and dismissing the silly rumor that 22-3a is a weak district.  8) 8)
Tough loss, but you guys were one of the two teams playing in it and that in itself is a great achievement.  ;)

Except for Coldspring and Huffman (and maybe Liberty at season's end), we were a weak district this year.  Look at how CS and HH ran all over everyone else, and many times could have scored even more.  A huge congratulations goes to Coldspring!  Their prospects look good next year too, but we'll see about the rest of us.

I think that receiving MVP for the district is a huge honor and no kid is listed twice, so it's not like he was snubbed...if there were players listed twice, then i would have to agree with you. He was obviously named MVP for his skills at RB and anyone who pays attention to this district knows that. Cole DeBerry IN MY OPINION (and apparently in the opinion of many others) was the #1 QB and you don't see him listed on the 1st team list after being named offensive player of the year... that's just the way it goes and it's totally fair and also gives other players a chance for recognition.


also, i am very proud of my brother for making first team offense WR and all-state honorable mention...as well as all the other huffman boys on the list! way to go guys! :)
