kville Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 It is always great to see how many fans travel to see the Wildcats play no matter how far the game or what the weather is like. When you look across the field and their are more visitors than the hometown side it just feels like a win before kick off. And we stay 'till the final tick of the clock win or loose. I don't care if it is a long ride home, the parking lot is a nightmare and there is no way we can win. Do you think that strong hometown support takes away from some of the home field advantage?
BRONX ROX Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 All winning programs usually have great fan support "notice the word winning". I think it gives the kids a little extra something when the house is packed but I dont think it takes away or gives any advantage. 9 times out of 10 the better team is going to win home or away.
Kville_Kats Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 As a former Wildcat,It always looked good when you were playing away from home and you look at the visitors side filling up..I always thought If they cared enough to make this trip to support us,We need to give it our best shot in return...I think a big fan traveling backing takes a little edge off of the home field advantage...Especially when the visitors side has almost as many fans as the home side..
kville Posted October 25, 2010 Author Report Posted October 25, 2010 My thoughts exactly Kats I tell my kids all the time how lucky they are to have so much support. We even had a small crowd for an out of town girls JH track meet last year. (Now thats some love ;D)
