BUNA95 Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010
How many teams go to the playoff's in our district ?
3
BUNA95 Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Great game. Cougars came out strong and never let up. Lets keep it up next week and see what happens.
bruno994 Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Great performance by the Coogs! Yoes, Carr and Williams once again using ball control running to score and eat up the clock. Terrier (Buna QB) hurt (knee), not sure how bad, but didn't look good. Get well Kale! Defense played an amazing game for the Cougars. My vote for Southeast Texas Defensive player of the week, Scott Edwards, 1 int, 2 big stops on 4th downs. Hopefully he will get the recognition for his efforts he put out tonight, he was everywhere. And by the way uknowit2, Jones did run, and played the entire game, if the district is wrapped up, which it is, and all your worried about are the playoffs, then why was he in there even down by 3 TD's? Not sure about that decision ... Anyway, don't take anything away from the victory! Great win COUGARS! See you in Woodville next Friday, lets pack the house with blue and white!!
wouldsmith Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Just ignore the children on here. Nothing but class
Demo Man Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 great game buna...ec needed a reality check dont care who was out or in at the time....buna won!!!!!whoraaaa
BUNA95 Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 So if I am correct for Buna to make the playoffs they need to win next week, and hope either Newton or EC gets beat.
wouldsmith Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Man I Don't know Bruno how it all shakes out. Someone will know. Hope our qb is ok. Playing on literally one leg like that sure takes a big heart. That kid is something else.
bruno994 Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 No doubt, hats off to Kale T. This whole team has no quit in them whatsoever. We've had better athletes in the past, but this team has more heart than any squad I've seen in years. Newton or EC won't lose next week, they play Warren and Kountze, no offense to those 2 schools. Anahuac finishes with Hardin, you never know about Hardin. But a win by Buna at Woodville would tie Buna and Newton at 5-2 for third place. If it goes to head-to-head, Newton is in, if it goes to a tiebreaker, it will be interesting. Not sure of district rule on this. I am sure we'll get several versions, but if anyone associated with the district has info, please pass it on.
cowboys Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Good game, Buna. I would have to say that I did not expect this outcome. Let me get this straight...East Chambers and if Anahuac wins next week against Hardin, will put these teams for a tie (Co-District Champions) with the #1 seed going to EC?
Kville_Kats Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Good Job Buna...!! Keep it going....
Guest ECBucFan Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Excellent job by Buna! Their burning desire to win was evident on each and every play. Great fan support, too. Buna showed up en masse for their biggest win in 2010. Bucs will refocus just like they did after the Kelly loss, and will roll next week vs. Warren. Jones will continue to heal and get ready for the playoffs...
wouldsmith Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Jones is fine. He played the entire game.
