A very hollow victory.
Cheap skate tackle takes out Jakari for the season.

GET WELL SOON JAKARI!!!

Do you feel like the hit was just kids playing ball or that it was malicious? Were you able to get it on video? Jakari will heal up as long as he keeps his head up.

I seen the video and it was not the tackle #5 kicked Jakari in the leg. The video was filmed from about 4 ft away and shows it all (very graffic). Dont know how  the kid was not ejected because the kick was clearly intentional. This was one of the classless football games I have ever seen, from the CROS team not even on the field for the athem to coming out after the time ended  on the clock at the half. The CROS fans had to holler at the players to take a knee when the JD was down on the side line. The program is classless and it starts with the coach. I would be ashamed to call myself a Cougar regardless of the scoreboard but what went on during the game. All I can say CROS is be proud very proud.
I haven't seen it on video yet, it is going to my computer now.  I did get a good angle on the tackle.  Looked like to me from the original play Jakari was horse collared (which is what the penalty was for).  The crosby's players legs might have flown around in the tackle and hit Jakari, but it looked like to me his foot stuck on the turf, the tackle pulled him back and his leg couldn't handle the stress.  A towel was thrown over the leg almost immediately after the play.  My son said he heard the leg pop.  When I was a senior at PN-G our QB had a compound fracture in the lower leg.  Jakari will have a long physical therapy process ahead of him.  Keep him in your prayers that his leg heals correctly.

I'd rather not see the video as those type injuries are not pretty.  If that's the case it was a cryin' shame.  The horsecollar is dirty enough.  Crosby's been dirty since at least 1990.

Can someone post the stats from this game? can't get it from the chronicle.  :'(
Yeah, the Chronicle is horrible about accessing team pages and stats lately!!

NO WAY will I post that clip on the internet.  I have the same feeling when Cody has his injury his junior year at Nacogdoches.  Even though the Broncos rolled tonight, you could sense it just wasn't the same without Jakari.  That being said, McBride did an AWEsome job!  Hopefully they will feed him the ball the next two games before the Brenham game.  If Jakari doesn't go out of the game, I think he might have approached 300 yards of offense.  Crosby had no answer for him.

got a little nauseous reading that.

Scary moment at the game, after the wreck 2 weeks ago, everyone in the stands was expecting something worse....

Terrible way to end a monster year. I hope, not for anyone else's sake but JD's that he gets to play in a Bronco uniform again. Great kid! Get well soon Jak.

Regardless of his football career, I wish the young man the absolute best and I really really hope that he heals to full strength.  I lost a season in college from a spiral thumb fracture...still never healed correctly.  I sincerely wish the young man a speedy recovery for his life and not for football.
I have pictures and I don't see in any of the frames where he was kicked by the Crosby player.. #5 Crosby grabbed Jakaris shirt, was pulling Jakari down and thats when Jakari's leg broke.

It looked late to me, but not terribly dirty.  Kind of waiting to see some video on that one.
Actually Tyrone, Jakari was horse collared and his forward momentum threw his legs out in front but not all the way causing them to bend wrong.  I had the misfortune of seeing it unfold.  AND it was sad to see the Crosby team NOT taking "the knee" even when you could hear their OWN FANS yelling for them to do so.

Anybody please let me know if I am wrong.  Don't want to misinform anyone on any player.
That is exactly how I saw it and in the pictures I took

That's good to know. That's the way it looked from the stands.
