bigred360 Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Community Christian School in Orange is starting a 6 man football program with practice beginning in the spring. Ex LC-M Head Coach David Williams will be putting on a few coaching clinic's for the kids. The rules for 6 man football is a lot different than normal football which leads to some high scoring games. However, there is a mercy rule in effect at that level.CCS is a small school and Daniel Rose who is the associate pastor at the church and an administrator for the school will volunteer coach as he has some experience in the coaching profession. They will have other volunteer coaches as they have raise enough money to get the program off the ground. With all the cost of starting a new program they are asking for donations to help with equipment, getting the field in condition and travel cost. If interested in assisting a great cause for the young men who will represent the Lions you can visit their website at http://www.ccsorange.org/, http://www.ccsorange.org/facultyandstaff.html or call the school at (409) 883-4531. Pastor Rose can be reached at (409)474-0123.Thanks to anyone who feels the need or compassion to financially assist this school and its new football program.

DP#1FAN Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 Thanks bigred360 and WOSgrad for shinning light on this. I think it will be good for the students and school. They have 21 boys in high school. You do the math. Good luck to the Lions.
ECC95 Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 Surely all the schools in the area can donate enough equipment (i.e., pads, footballs, shoes, and maybe some helmets) especially for a 6 man football team.
