Good grief, just line somebody up so BH and Dayton can get on with the spanking.   ;)

That's pretty tough talk from a guy whose team hasn't beaten a 20-4A opponent in 5 years and whose record against 20-4A teams this decade is 2-6 (wins against Vidor in 2004 and 2005).

Ok, your right.  Now they are tired on top of being bad.  Let's see how they do in the dance come week one, if they even make the playoffs.  ;)

I may be way off here but didn't BH beat Nederland THIS season 28-21?

Good lord. What is your point? One fan made a pre-season prediction and there is a post about this on dang near every thread. Does it really matter?

I'm very proud of the coaches and players. Our defense is still not the type of defense we had last year or the type defense we were used to in past , but they have improved greatly. We have made changes in our defense weekly since the Nederland game and at this point 5-4 and being assured a playoff spot is a good accomplishment for our players. A month ago things did not look good at all, and the players and coaches have continued to work hard. They are getting better weekly and maybe will peak at the right time. With our offense, if the defense can make some stands who knows.

I believe, if Livingston makes the playoffs, PN-G will be the #2 seed (assuming Central beats PN-G).  If PN-G wins, they will be the #1 seed.  Thinking about it, there is a lot on the line for PN-G.  If they go into the playoff bracket as the #1 seed, that side of the bracket is pretty soft.  The winner of the 19-4A and 20-4A might just have two more pretty easy playoff games.

The only way PNG plays Dayton is If
1. PNG loses,LCM wins, and vidor beats Livingston.  Then it looks like this

1.Central 7-0 Big school 1 seed
2. LCM 5-2 Small school 1 seed
3.PNG 4-3 Small school 2 seed
4.Vidor 3-4 Big School 2 seed ( Vidor is in with wins over Ned in Liv.)
4.Ned 3-4 out for loss to vidor early in season
4. LIV 3-4 out with loss to vidor

OR>>>>
Livingston wins, Ned Wins, and PNG Loses
1. Central 7-0 Big school 1
2.Liv-4-3 Small school 1
2.PNG- 4-3 Small school 2 because of loss to Liv
2.Ned 4-3 Big school 2
2.LCM 4-3 out with 1-2 record vs tie breaker teams just like PNG, but lost head up to them

So an LCM and Livingston victory sends PN-G to the big school regardless of a win or loss. Or if we win, Vidor wins and LC-M wins we would go Div. 2 as the 1 seed?

PN-G's division I or division II status is linked to the Bulldogs (who have a larger enrollment).  If the Bulldogs win, PN-G is division II.  If Livingston also wins, PN-G will be Division II seed 2.
If LC-M wins, Nederland is out, and PN-G will be division I.

And....
If PN-G can win, they will avoid any scenario that would put them against Dayton in the first round.  If PN-G can win against Central and the Bulldogs win, they will be one of the top two or three schools on their side of the bracket to get to quarterfinals in the division II playoffs.  Looking at it from an Indian's fans perspective, I believe they would rather have the scenario of beating Central and having the Bulldogs win.  That would place them in the best part of the playoff bracket.
PN-G will not get thumped by either Barbers Hill or Crosby.  A match up with any of those teams in bidistrict could go either way.

Purple4ever, I believe that Vidor is not mathmatically eliminated.  If they make it (being that they have a higher enrollment than PN-G) PN-G could go D-1 and avoid Dayton. Basically, They will go D-2 as long as Vidor or Big Ned make it...

If PNG doesnt beat Central, and we go as a 3rd or 4th seed in this district, I hope we DO play Dayton. I have a problem with 4 teams from each district going to the playoffs, but that is another thread. If the 4th seed in 20-4A or in 19-4A could beat Dayton or Central, well they have done something! Besides, Dayton vs PNG would shore look purty with all that purple out there!  ;D
