catfever Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 I heard that Nederland JV-A beat HF Varsity by 33. True?

DP#1FAN Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Nederland & Bridge City are still in football.
ForeverADog Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Guys. Its a scrimmage!!! It means nothing!
Stang Hoops Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Legacy Christian was missing most of their team due to football. You are right it is a scrimmage and does not mean much. I'm just reporting the scores ;)

BLUEDOVE3 Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010
Varsity - 20 min running clock
The only player I've ever seen from Vidor was a kid (white kid I think) with tatoos on his body about 2 years ago. But he's probably graduated by now. So your varsity beat Nederland in a scrimmage? Impressive. So you guys play Hamshire Fannett this Tuesday.

It means nothing!
That's my point! Hardly anybody is filling the floor with the kids that will be the playmakers and even if they are, it's still a scrimmage! PNG and Silsbee participated in the Westbrook Scrimmage. Indians blown out by the brook, Then Png ties Silsbee. It meant nothing. Each team is tying to get the kids some experience in game type situations and running many different looks in the course of a continuous clock game AND rotating literally every kid they have that can bounce a ball. Basically, it's practice.See y'all when football is over for us.

But scrimmages let you know who can play the game and what strengths and weaknesses individuals and teams may have. The only big difference is that these games don't go in the books. Weaknesses are still seen even in a scrimmage game.
