Columbus in 4....WOW---this is the 2nd year that Bridge City got knocked out by a team that advanced to the Regional Tournament.  Last year, Caldwell advanced to State!!!  And, the same goes for Tarkington...

Wow, Looks like Columbus plays Lucus Lovejoy in the first game of the State tourney.  Lovejoy is the #1 team.....They(uil) changed the schedule so that Lucus Lovejoy would play Wimberley #2 in the final game.

Big Question, can Columbus bust Lovejoys #1 rating in the first game up there?

You know....anyone can beat anyone on any given night...but I sure hope Columbus wins!!!  The biggest disadvantage for them will be the lack of experience (compared to Lovejoy & WImberley) at the State Tournament.  But, hey!  ya never know!!  Go Cardinals!!!!  :)

Not sure if you have had the opportunity to see Wimberley or Lovejoy play this year, but they are extremely impressive. I haven't seen Abilene Wylie play. Columbus has a gigantic task ahead of them, but you are right...you never know.

UIL didn't change the schedule, it was never set.  They wait til Saturday night and seed the tournament. The top 2 teams according to their record are placed in different games, that way the top 2 won't meet till the finals.  What you see on the brackets are not games at state, just showing who made it to state
