UTSA joins the WAC tomorrow

We'll find out over the next couple of years how the WAC evolves.  I bet more teams like Utah State and Hawaii leave.  I think La Tech is still trying to find a new home too.  I'm glad Lamar is taking a more cautious approach about joining a FBS conference.

There is no doubt we have to upgrade our athletic teams and facilities before serious talks about jumping to another conference is realistic.

Well, the conference lay out is terrible. You have teams from Louisiana to Hawaii which causes terrible travel cost for non revenue producing sports like soccer, volleyball, golf, T&F, tennis, swimming and gymnasts.

Rumor is Montana will not join and they are probably the one school that would make sense joining the WAC.
