we had a good 1st and 4th qtr offensively..D played ok..  (sd had a huge line)....first drive was awesome..we had outs and slants and quick hitters..then we reverted back to only the outs and things got stale for a while...

after the scoring drive to start the game, lamar didn't get another first down until halfway thru the 3rd qtr. that says it all for how well they played as a whole. end of story. oh, and puddin lame, i feel for you having to sit thru that. LOL

I know what is wrong with raider.  Raider likes to bet on football.  He had Lamar losing by 24.  It looks like you missed that one by a BUNCH. What did you say?  Oh YEAH.. This one get out of hand early.  WRONG AGAIN!!! For someone who KNOWS football you sure are off the mark.  You say that you don't believe in excuses but yet you take the time to cry about them.  As far as your mystery safety goes there wasn't one.  Neither ref signaled for one.  The angle that was shown on tv was from in front of the goal line.  And even with that angle the ball made it out of the end zone. 
You also talk about people not having a life.  This is coming from someone who said they have "better" games to watch.  Yet you sat and watched the whole game of a team you don't even like. 
NEXT item you say to bring facts to say why it was a good game.  Yet when they lose your only statement is they quit.  I guess they didn' quit today.  Was Lamars game perfect?  No.  But you don't see many percect games in football.  For someone who "KNOWS" you should know that.  And in the end all that matters is that you did more right than the team that lined up across from you.

Prewitt looked better as the game went along. Especially for a true freshman. Lamar will get better over time considering how young they are and at times a little undersized.

We had a great time at the Lamar game last night.  It was a little cooler than I like, but it made for some great football weather if you came prepared.  I hope the South East Texas fans will continue to support the team, the crowd was a little thin last night and could have been due to the weather.  Prewitt and the recieving corps was outstanding.  He had great poise and made good decisions.  The recievers just made great catches all night. 

I don't who else noticed, but on Lamar's last kickoff to SD, the ball was not fielded as it went into the endzone.  The refs inadvertantly blew their whistles.  The ball eventually bounced and barely went out of the endzone.  But it was a live ball bouncing around in the end zone for quite a while after the refs blew their whistles.  I saw a few looks from Lamar players at the refs and I think they realized they were too quick with their whistles.

there were some ugly kickoffs last night, the wind was blowing  pretty good at times...

Ball in the endzone on a kickoff is a dead ball in college.  I saw it happen three times last night on games on TV.

I have always questioned televising a home game.  Why not go out of town and broadcast it back to BMT area.  Also with the weather being in question last night more people stayed home.

Read somewhere where the crowd was 15,000......looked about like 8,000 maybe!!!  Between being cold and possible rain in the forecast and the fact that it was on TV that everyone stayed home and watched it!!!  I know that the 15,000 included season ticket holders.
