Guest ST11 Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 This has been a great / partially tragic year for SE Texas football. The year is not finished I am aware. But I want to be first to say I am deffinatley glad to call this area my home. Theres been many great games and great people. This year has deffinatly shown how much we can come togethere in sadness and in victory.. 2010 will be a season remembered for years!
kicker Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 +1 and also, I think this season will change life here in SETX permanantly. The things that happened this year showed me something I had never would have thought.....LCM supporting our kids on the sidelines,...Vidor altering their helmet to put RG on it(im still in shock on that one, they have my respect forever),.....teams that arent even in SETX have a number12 and a CB sticker on them. No matter who wins this region in 1A on up, I hope its from SETX, and ill be cheering for anyone, and I mean anyone. WB, PAM, K'ville, WOS, PNG, etc!!!!!
NDNWarrior Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 Both great posts! I love living in this area, love high school football. This year has definitely been a rollercoaster with all the ups and downs. But one thing has definitely stuck out...."when the going gets tough, the tough gets going." Its GREAT to be a part of the SouthEast Texas fooball family. This year has changed many of us.....for the better.
td Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 I agree. We can get on here and have fun and talk a little smack but when it comes down to it the people in this area can pull together like no other that I've seen. Good luck to all of the teams that are left. Especially the Pop Warner Orange T Longhorns. 2 more wins and we get a trip to Orlando. One game at a time though. We may be the only youth football team still playing in this area. Come see us in McAllen this weekend ;DThanks for a great site for adults to be kids on.td
