HUM398 Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010
Great season Jags. However, there is no reason ya'll should have lost this game tonight. I dont understand some of the playcalling ,and the lack of halftime adjustments. Humble is a very beatable team, but coaching failed you tonight. Ya'll came out after the half, and ya'll were flatter than a balloon two weeks after the party. I dont know what they said to ya'll inside the locker rooms, but whatever it was, it had an adverse effect on you compared to how you guys came out to start the game. No excuse to lose this game. I hated to see it end this way.
::)Good game Jags, yall played with a lot of heart. Yall have a great program top to bottom, was impressed with your team support, band, and team. Wish things were a little cleaner as far as behavior post play (for both sides), but it is the nature of a game with a lot on the line. I felt that we underestimated yall in the first quarter. yall came out and punched us in the mouth, it wasn't looking good. But we were able to settle down and pull it out in the end. I realize that some will say, "yall could of beat them...they are very beatable". and some of our fans will say "Hey, that was probably the worst game we have played since dobie "... But ill say this...This was Texas Playoff football. Throw away what you did in the regular season, Margin of victory..total point scored. It doesn't matter. Something about playing to live another day makes things a lot more interesting. Yall have nothing to be ashamed of, yall are solid. Like i previously thought, the athleticism central had neutralized us offensively. We showed some weakness of special teams, that really gave yall some swinging momentum to start the game. it was HUGE that yall cross our 45 yard line on the first KO. yall put us in a position we were not comfortable with. Defensively i don't feel we game planned well enough for your QB. Totally underestimated his ability to throw down field, and yall did pick on our #20 SS Cameron Solomen (Which was our weakest defender..someone watched film)....but what hurt us the most...was mitchells ability to go down field. anyway...enough of that. Much respect for yall, and hope to see yall next season in the Playoffs.

Mitchell could have had 300 through the air and 100 on the ground had the staff adjusted. Should have had Mitchell rolling out to give him some options. On the defensive side Central should have went to a 4 man front and stuffed the run. Make Humble throw the ball, they were not very good through the air. QB was inacurate and lofted some throws. #33 was all they had. Make the QB throw more and Central picks a few off!!!Can't believe that Humble team beat Willis by 31. Wonder what we will see tomorrow night?Future is bright for Central if Mitchell is utilized correctly. Needs a QB coach and some time working on timing on all the throws. He had WR open deep all night, but waited too long to throw, but he was making the right decisions most of the night which is impressive for a young QB.Good Season Jags. Then that stupid play on the punt return swung all momentum to Humbl as they scored 24 unanswered points. That killed us leaving that 7 points on the field. We couldn't stop that run up the middle and that swing pass killed us... (sounds familiar?) We then wen away from what works... The run up the middle to Heard wasn't working... They wanted to play cat and mouse with this team. Newsflash, we're down at this point. Finally, the OC got his head out his but and found something that works. The run with the QB. Humble then drove and our defense held. Props to the Humble kicker for drilling that FG, even after being brough back on a penalty... We had our chance at the end. QB broke for a Td run but was brough back for a chop block. That was a tough blow. Props for the halftime adjustment by Humble on both sides of the ball... Maybe next year, our coaches will learn to tart putting teams away early and leave no doubt that we're here to win, not play around and play to NOT LOSE... Nevertheless, geat season to my Jags. Now, go Indians and go Bruins... BUT, I got a PN-G fathful to wear a Jag hat the entir game.. Props to you! ;D ;D
Soulja, yall have a great unit. You just worry about not letting Mongomery ring up a 50 piece today...
BRONX ROX Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 WOW :o CENT started fast and one mistake in the 2nd switched the momentum. HUM made great adjustments at the half to get the win. CENT has nothing to hang their head about and have some "studs" returning next year. Now its time SOULJA for you to sport that PNG PURPLE today and keep 20-4A in the hunt ;D
BMTSoulja1 Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 The flag on the Jag TD with a minute left was a heartbreaker... To go from TD to 2nd and forever That's an emotional high and los within a matter of seconds... I just knew we were looking at a 28-27 Jag win...

Well really it was the knock out punch. Humble is well coached. they took advantage of what we gave them. Sign of good coaching. They gave us things, and we only exploited them a few times, in the first half. They adjusted and literally took it from us in the second half. We throw the ball more, we have a better chance. Anyway, Humble is a good squad. The better team last night won. Good luck on the rest on the way wildcats.
BMTSoulja1 Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 I don't know. I was lookng at Mitchell run it in the end zone. I didn't see the back of the play. I'm sure it happened on another part of the field. So that meanss if it happened, it was probably not even necessary for our blocker to even be engaged with a Humble defender at this point... Not on the backside of the play...
BRONX ROX Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 Sounds like the "coaching" put the JAGS in the position to win. Later in the playoffs thats what it comes to is that "one" play. Its not like HUM was a weak team.

indnfan Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 As i witnessed in the first half Central had the chance to put this game away and didn't. When you let good teams hand around it usually comes down to a key play late in the game. I just hate that the key play went against Central. By listening to the Jag faithful sounds like the Cent. coaches thought they might have had this one in the bag. Central Jags have nothing to be ashamed of. Proud to be in the same district with a quality team like this. Now lets go PN-G. Bring home a W for 20-4A!!!
PNGFan Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 I really enjoyed sitting with the Central fans last night. This was a good game. What changed the momentum was the fumbled punt. It seemed after that Central was very flat. I did not like the play calling the first couple series of the 2nd half. Made a big difference.

gary-us-bonds Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 Good Job Humble.Sounds like a heart breaker for Central.I'm torn over this one as I generally root for both Humble and Central when Lee is not in the equation.Hopefully the Wildcats can beat Friendswood next week.
