b7770756 Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 I guess since CY hasn't done well in awhile, they decided to drop down to 2A so they would look good again
The_Hatch Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 I think they'd have a similar showing in 3A. They played Brownwood in 7 on 7 this year and only lost by 2 points. They're very good. Keep your head up Newton, play til the clock runs out and be proud of yourselves for a winning season. ;)

liltex Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 Another great year Eagles you're still winners and the better team won this fri.night ;)
Yoe_09 Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 I thought the Yoemen had a good night to say the least. Newton does have a quality team with quite a bit of speed. Congratulations on the season.Just wondering if anyone had thoughts that was at the game or possibly someone who listened to it?

Anafanatic Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 Great season Newton...Cameron Yoe will more than likely go on to win state and would probably win state in 3A (over K'ville) as well! ;) :D ;D
alice Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 Congratulations Newton on a good season. It shows a lot of character to continue to fight week after week when you suffer a loss of a Coach and friend like Coach Babay
Guest Jmeek Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 Tough Season for the eagles, Newton was totally out coached in a game that look as if a Jv was playing Varsity. After the 3rd play of the game it was all but decided. CY does have a great squad and some of there receivers made some amazing catches and the QB was very accurate. Newton showed up for 3 plays and after that it was a total blowout , I hate to say it but after the first quater it looked as if the players had given up. The picture is getting clear now there is not very much teaching going on and no adjustments were ever made since EC handed Newton there first district lose. So I say this Get ready for some drama after the playoffs cause in Newton they will be cleaning house soon after the playoffs are over, and only a couple will make it through the cleaning. ;D
bruno994 Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 In a 70-26 loss, is it really being outcoached? or just simply outplayed? Hats off to all the Newton players and staff, lots of respect from those of us in your district during a tough, roller coaster season.
jimmyw Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 CAMERON YOE ,I think you are probably as good as Daingerfield was last year. you have a tremendous offense and the defense issolid, not quiet as salty as Daingerfield was last year but definately good. you should win it all but I haven't seen Tatum or Daingerfield this year and they are way better than us. jmo
