FootballSETXfan
What if there is a three way tie beteween Nederland, PNG, and LCM for the third place spot? Who gets in?
KFDM COOP
Then you'll look at who beat who.
FootballSETXfan
So, would it be Nederland because they beat LCM and PNG!
GoDogs27
exactly!
KFDM COOP
Yup. Nederland will have to lose their last 2 for LCM to get in.
Bigdog
I thought it went to points?
Bobcatfan4life
Yup. Nederland will have to lose their last 2 for LCM to get in. And LCM would have to win out. LCM is at Lumberton and then home against Vidor. Nederland is at Dayton and then home against Lumberton.
KFDM COOP
I thought it went to points? Head to head first.

KFDM COOP
Goes by who beat who first.
Bobcatfan4life
I thought it went to points? Depends on if the tiebreaker in the district is set up for the point system or head to head.
GoDogs27
It would go to points if say PNG had beat Nederland... Cause Ned beat LCM, but lost to PNG, but PNG lost to LCM....
FootballSETXfan
What is district 22-4a set up as? Head to head or point system?
GoDogs27
head to head... and points system... look at my above post...
wosmustangs
Each district executive committee has it's own rules that govern the district. Whatever rules the 4-AAAA league for the Golden Triangle has in place would have to be checked. If KFDM is saying he already knows what that district's rules are, then he is right. If, however, the committee doesn't have the "head-to-head" established as the rule, it probably is points in the "tie scenario". Bobcatfan4life is exactly correct..... KFDM - do you already know it's "head to head"? Man, those things get your stomach churning when your team is involved......
Bigdog
:?: How about we just win out and not worry about it.
KFDM COOP
Yes, I have been told it's head to head first.
FootballSETXfan
You never know what going to happen this year in this district. Good luck to all teams the rest of the season!
Guest Kelly Football
1. Dayton 2. Central 3. Nederland These are your playoff teams.
tvc184
:?: How about we just win out and not worry about it. It seems like there have been three or four teams that were able to say, "if we just win out". The problem is, other than Dayton, everyone else keeps shooting themselves in the foot everytime they are in position to just win out.
bears67
I thought three way tie comes down to a coin flip
PNG Proud
Seems like I remember something about a coin flip in the not-too-distant past. But in that case, it was like described above, where one beat one, who beat the one that beat the other one.....I think :?
tvc184
There was the coin flip from last year but that was because all of the tied teams had not played each other. Unless the 22-4A executive committee has changed the rules this year, it is head-to-head first and then common points between the tied teams. There is a maximum amount of points allowed per game. I think it is 16 points. For example, if it came down to points, the LC-M 42-0 win over PN-G would only go down at +16 points instead of +42. raidernation
The point system is a +/- 14 points. Here's a scenario for you. Not likely, but possible: Lumberton wins against LCM and Nederland finishing 3-4 - not likely considering we couldn't beat ozen :x . LCM Splits against Lumberton and Vidor finishing 3-4 or Vidor wins against Ozen and LCM finishing 3-4 PNG loses against Central and Dayton finishing 3-4. Nederland loses against Dayton and Lumberton finishing 3-4. Lumberton would be 2-1 against these 3 teams. LCM would be 1-2 against these 3 teams or Vidor would be 1-2 against these teams PNG would be 1-2 against these 3 teams. Nederland would be 2-1 against these 3 teams. In this scenario it would be between Nederland and Lumberton. Would this then go to point system among common opponents or does the head-to-head between Lumberton and Nederland come into play? GoDogs27
head to head..... it is always head to head unless its a 3-Way tie and each of those three teams loses one game to one of the other... for example... If PNG beats Central... and PNG and Nederland lose to Dayton This creates a 3-way tie... Nederland lost to Central but beat PNG PN-G lost to Nederland but beat Central This would go to the point system...
