Guest ECBucFan
It won't be "sports centric", it will be "Longhorn centric" and "profit centric". Just another way to manipulate high school sports for profit and give wanton advantages to UT. Another sad, sad day for high school sports in Texas. The UIL is now officially out of control. Cougtalk
EC i don't necessarily agree who else in Texas has their own sports network besides Texas? FSN, ESPN, and Others have shown 0 want to broadcast highschool games. This can only help get kids scholarships, im for it. Also this quote makes it make more sense. ""We're the only one left," Breithaupt said of the UIL, which was founded in 1909 and, under state law, is part of UT-Austin."
