The numbers should be around 425 by 2011 (snapshot day). remember...3 of 5 make the playoffs in this set, instead of 2 or even 3 of 7 ?

Anything can happen but I'd bet that they drop back down.

kcat-fan Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 Anyone know who our new DC will be, now that WT is going to Newton?

Some teams do great every year if they graduate 1 or 20. Some abilities these players are just born with but execution, endurance and focus are all coached and that is what wins games.

Guest bayoubengal Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 Na. Hate to say it but our run in 3A is over. Lost a good coach and Alverez will probably not be here next year either. Lost alot of seniors, we make make the playoffs but the long runs are over til we drop back to 2A.
kvillecats9876 Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 i would never count out kirbyville though. many times they were "going to be bad". like whenwe got thrown in district with silsbee, wo-s, etc. picked at the bottom of the district and we saw what happened. more than 3 good years too.'10- 3rd round 3A'09- state 2A'08- state 2A'07- 3rd round 3A'06- 2nd round 3A'05- 3rd round 3A'04- 3rd round 3A

If Coach Alvarez does decide to move on,I wish him nothing but the best..He did a world of good for Kirbyville ....I'm not gonna blow the dooms day whistle just yet.... ;)
MEM Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 Where and why would Alvarez possibly move on? Just curious...

The move in 2006 and 2007 to the 3A district with Jasper, Silsbee, WOS, Bridge City was to signal the end of playoff football for Kirbyville. I remember the Kirbyville "doomsday" talk by the majority of people in SE Texas even the Kirbyville natives weren't so sure. I remember one player who would have no talk of "doomsday" for Kirbyville football... PIERCE "Deuce" RHODES!
