We lost because of our Defense or lack their of. Our offense could score on anyone.Point being made is that Nederlands problem the past few years has not been its Spread Offense. It's been the fact that the OLine was not very good. If the OLine is not good it doesn't matter what offense you run!

samsung Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Anybody wanting to fire Larry Neuman is crazy. Hes the best coach in the area. If he had players like PNG and Central he,d win district every year.

PNG does not have great athletes like Central, to compare the two is ridiculous. PNG and ned's athletes are comparable. The difference is PNG has the coaching to run the wide open, no huddle offense. Putting 3 or 4 wide outs and running out of the shotgun doesn't make you a spread offense. Look at where the PNG offensive coaches have come from and where the" home grown" ned coaches come from. PNG has coaches that have the coaching background to run a spread type offense, ned coaches don't.

The last 2 years Png has probably had (overall) the edge in athletes, especially healthy ones. When one season ends, coaches start preparing for the next by putting the kids they have returning in the best positions to win. But, just as the last 2 seasons begin, you lose Bellows Smith and Forney...thats the breaks, but it sure changes everything. Losing these kids as well as many others has nothing to do with there coaching background, nor does it have a thing to do with them being homegrown. Larry is 1-1 against Faircloth, in spite of the homegrown coaching and there lack of background with the spread offense.

Neumann and his homegrown dufuses gave the geniuses from across the tracks all they wanted with their 4th string QB last year. This year they outcoached the geniuses from across the tracks on both sides of the ball. I'll take our homegrown morons and go to war with you guys anyday. Just curious, I take it you may have graduated from PNG? Are you saying that you or people you graduated with from PNG, can't compete with the best in the world at what they do? I'm not sayin Ned has the best coaches in the world by a stretch, but to say that people from Nederland or PNG can't be the best at what they do is frikkin RIDICULOUS. Again, let me clean up the milk I just spewed out my nose.
9Doggies Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Outanup, Please refrain from using Bellow and Forney in the same sentence. Samsung, where did you pull that data from? I just had a vomit burp, yuck.

football04 Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 PNG's runningbacks coach is as home grown as they come, is he not as good as some of the coach Fairclothe's imports.
Guest Pirate_pride_07 Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 I got a question. If Nederland has the best coaches in the district and they should be winning district every year, how in the world did they manage to get beat by a 2-8 Vidor team?

Nederland Lost the game because #9 and and two of there LB were in street clothes that night. The two Long runs we got late was because we knocked out there starting middle LB also. And 9 would have run down both of those runs that won the game. Vidor had its own issues with a young but talented team. Lets not get into a pissing contest with PNG and Nederland fans about whos coaches or athletes are better. We have our own issues there. You know, Glass House and All.
Guest Pirate_pride_07 Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 oh why not coach. its so much fun.

Three seasons ago we had a coach that said he didn't have the talent to compete with Nederland, now we got a new coach and someone from Nederland is saying this about our talent. Prooves what good coaching does for ya. One of these seasons Neuman will have a healthy team and he will no doubt be DC again. The man can coach.

I honestly can't remember the last time PNG was actually in the top 10 of the state polls. Of course the polls are weeks 0-10 only.
