Well since football season on to my favorite sport lol. Who are the favorites to represent the region at the state tourny.

Huffman definitely has to be one of the favorites with the team they are returning.
Jasper, Lufkin Hudson, Giddings, Robinson, Bridge City, West Orange Stark, Lorena, and Mexia are all solid looking clubs as well.

To Baseball Junkie:  You are right Huffman will have a good team this season.....They held in there for a while in brackets; but BCs big Freshman kid pitched one good surprise game to move BC on up the bracket ladder last season.

Please tell me, who will pitch for Huffman? I thought they had graduated their #1 Pitcher last season?

We did lose our #1 last year in blane hashagen. That was the only starter lost off last years team. Tyler west(3-0 .53 34ks), cole deberry(3-1 .88 27k)s, nathan schwertner(1-1 3.15 21 ks) and dustin cook(3-2 2.40 28ks) all saw pitching time last year. We also return 8 players batting over .300 and 4 over .400. Top returning hitters are cole deberry (.514 20 rbis), corey spray (.426 13 rbis), austin listi (.419 26 rbis), and Garrett Jones (.435 20 rbis). This years team is very talented and has a lot of experience with 7 players having at least 2 years varsity experience. If they can find someone to step in as the ace they should be able to compete with anyone in region 3.
